Students enjoy learning for my clear explanation, patience and fun teaching style. I am very familiar with PSLE syllabus and have honed the skills of teaching creative writing and grammar rules. I am a Master's student in Chinese Language and Literature at the National University of Singapore (NUS), with a strong academic background in Chinese literature, linguistics, and writing. I have teaching experience from two high school internships, where I taught Chinese Language and served as a homeroom teacher. My class achieved top results in Chinese, and I guided students to award-winning performances in competitions. I also have IELTS 7.0 and can tutor English and academic writing. I am patient, detail-oriented, and committed to helping students build confidence and improve their results.

After selecting my major in university (Chinese Language), I decided to specialise in teaching Chinese mostly, and eventually found a specialisation in teaching non-native/foreign speakers. Most notably, I helped a secondary 4 student go from failing Chinese to achieving a B3 in the O level examination. Now in restarting tutoring, I’m open to teaching Chinese and English.

I am an experienced tutor who have been teaching since 2017 and have been teaching primary school students. Even though I am not MOE trained, I do my best for every student, in every lesson. I strive to provide my best so that my students are able to improve. Notably, I have taught a primary 6 student, who went on to get AL3 in PSLE and subsequently managed to promote from G2 Maths to G3 Maths at the start of Sec 2. Another student, who was in P6 Foundation Maths, had really weak fundamentals. With consistent lessons and practice, my student was able pass Foundation Maths and went on to Secondary school.
