Hi I’m Ryan and I’ve taught 8 students in lower and upper sec maths. 2 of them improved by 3 grades from their prelims to o levels. My way of teaching is using different methods to see which students find it best and then I use it to guide them. I try to use ideologies that relate to them so that they can better picture and understand the concepts. When they go wrong or don’t understand, I patiently guide them on where they are wrong and how to go about doing it right. I try to be friendly and approachable so that they never have to hesitate when they are unsure and need help or clarifications.

I am Miss Jolene, a full time tutor. I have 10 years of tutoring experience, including 2 years as Head of English at a private tuition centre. I hold a degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS), and currently teach full-time, conducting both online and in-person classes. I am a trilingual tutor who has lived across 4 cities in the world, with a love for working with students whether you are home-schooled, taking the AEIS/ SPERS, or currently studying at the G2/G3 level. Beyond tutoring: I am a writer for the research unit of the The Economist, covering policy developments and business rankings across ASEAN economies. Earlier in my career, I worked with MNCs as an account manager. Hi, I am a Year 1 Business student at SMU. I'm a friendly and patient person who enjoys working with children. I’m Saad, and I teach secondary maths, chemistry and JC H2 Math. I’ve always believed that being “bad at Math” is often less about ability and more about not having someone explain it in a way that clicks. When I teach, I don’t just give students a formula and tell them to practise 20 similar questions. I like to understand where exactly they’re getting stuck — whether it’s the concept itself, not knowing how to start a question, or understanding the topic but struggling when the question looks unfamiliar. My lessons are quite conversational. Ask questions, make mistakes, tell me when something doesn’t make sense — I’d much rather go through something again than have you leave pretending you understood it. For students who are weaker in Math, we’ll work on getting the foundations right first. For stronger students, we can focus more on exposure, problem-solving and the little things that separate a decent answer from a good one. I teach in small groups so I can still give each student proper attention and I make sure that students will not take home assignments as I do not believe in brainless drilling, but I believe in tackling the questions by understanding the concepts.

I have experience helping my younger brother with his studies and have also worked as an assistant teacher at a tuition centre. These experiences helped me learn how to explain topics clearly and support students when they have difficulty understanding. When I teach, I try to make lessons simple and easy to follow. I explain concepts step by step by using examples and always check that the student understands before moving on. I am patient and adjust my teaching style depending on each student's needs and learning pace. Throughout each lesson I emphasise the importance of students asking questions and practising what they have learned so they can become more confident in the subject.
