I am a very patient individual experienced in teaching pre-school to secondary Chinese. Over the last 5 years I’ve taught over 20 students and most of them improve tremendously after our constant practices together. I taught 2 students from NLCS, 2 students from Tanglin trust and 1 from SJII During lessons, we will focus on all components of the language such as reading, writing and speaking. I believe that different students have different strengths and my teaching style will be to identify areas that students require more help in and we will spend more time practicing on that area so as to enforce better understand of the various concepts. . We will work on oral, vocabulary, composition and comprehension to ensure all rounded learning of the subject. Being bilingual, I will be able to explain and translate the different meanings in English to strengthen students understanding. I have a strong command of the language and have obtained A for PSLE Chinese and Higher Chinese, A1 and B3 for O-Level Chinese and Higher Chinese respectively.

I have been teaching Primary School Chinese private students for the past 5 years, and I believe that every child improves best when lessons are carefully adjusted to his or her individual needs. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I pay close attention to each student’s weaker areas and customise lessons to strengthen the specific skills that need improvement, whether in composition, comprehension, language application, oral, or listening comprehension. I also use a structured 听写 system that not only tests new vocabulary, but also ensures spiral revision of weaker words and phrases over time, so that students do not simply memorise for one lesson and forget afterwards. I place strong emphasis on regular parent communication and close progress monitoring. Parents receive weekly updates and follow-up where needed, so they are always clear about what their child is learning and what needs more support at home. In addition, monthly progress reports are provided to give parents a clearer understanding of their child’s strengths, weaker areas, and overall development. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but also to help them build confidence, consistency, and a stronger foundation in Chinese step by step.
