Go to our Search Tutor page and shortlist tutors you want to hire. Use the filters to refine attributes. When ready, click Submit Shortlist and complete the form. We’ll contact shortlisted tutors and advise availability.
We encourage tutors to upload scanned certificates in their profile or email us. Otherwise, tutors are instructed to bring certificates for verification at the 1st lesson. We verify against information provided.
The agency commission is normally 50% of the first 4 weeks’ tuition fees, deducted from the tutor; the remaining 50% is paid to the tutor in week 4. After 2 weeks, we email or post the invoice with payment details. Notify us after transfer; for cash/cheque, contact us to arrange collection.
Email info@tutorcity.sg with your name and mobile number. Closed accounts can’t be reactivated; you’ll need to re-register. Serious complaints (e.g., no-show, persistent lateness) may result in closure without notice.
Not compulsory but strongly encouraged. A neat, professional photo helps parents visualise you. Certificates increase credibility; our admin tallies them against your particulars.
We typically send SMS or call you for close matches. Ensure your mobile is valid. Consider location and frequency before replying with availability, hourly rate (if applicable) and other requested info. Ignore SMS if unavailable; contact us to stop broadcasts.
We present your profile to the parent. If selected, we’ll confirm start date and address. If you don’t hear back, the assignment was matched elsewhere.
Quote competitive rates, expand travel areas, teach more subjects, and open more timeslots. Build a credible profile with consistent service and punctuality; maintain good relationships with parents and our team.
Plan your route (e.g., Google Maps). Save address and contacts. Bring certificates for verification. Prepare materials, dress appropriately, and be punctual.
50% of the total tuition fees for the first 4 weeks is collected from the client. Postponed lessons don’t change the commission. If terminated before 4 weeks, see Terms & Conditions in the tutor registration form.
We assess complaints fairly. If your case is strong, we’ll bill the client and may refer to Small Claims Tribunal if needed. If a valid complaint is received immediately after lesson 1, the client won’t be billed for that first lesson.
