I am a Computing Science undergraduate with experience teaching coding and robotics to students of different ages and learning levels. I currently work as a **Robotics and Coding Instructor at Kodecoon Academy**, where I teach subjects such as **Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Scratch, Roblox, LEGO SPIKE, AppCreator and WebCreator**. My teaching approach focuses on helping students **understand concepts rather than simply memorising answers**. I hold a Master’s degree from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and have more than 10 years of experience in education, training and individualised student support. I am currently teaching Chinese to primary and secondary school students in Singapore, including both 1-to-1 and small-group lessons. My main teaching focus is Primary 1–5 Chinese, covering Chinese character recognition, pronunciation, vocabulary understanding and application, sentence construction, reading comprehension, oral communication, composition and examination answering techniques. My teaching approach is highly structured. For reading comprehension, I guide students through a step-by-step process: understand the question → locate the relevant part of the passage → identify key answer points → organise a complete answer. I have experience supporting students with weak Chinese foundations, learning difficulties, short attention spans, ADHD and ASD-related learning needs, and I adjust lesson pace and task length according to each student’s concentration level and learning style. I also have a medical background with professional experience in a tertiary hospital. This has strengthened my observation, patience, responsibility and ability to understand individual differences in children. In addition, my years of business management, team leadership and staff training experience have developed strong communication, analytical and organisational skills, which I apply to lesson planning and student development. One of my long-term 1-to-1 tutoring experiences involved supporting a student with significant learning difficulties and weak academic foundations. Hi, I'm Anannya, a business student at ESSEC with over two years of tutoring experience. After graduating from university in 2023, I worked for 2 years (2024-2025) as an engineer in the area of hot and cold utility production systems, focusing on data analytics plus numerical and statistical modelling. In 2026 I further developed my data science skills, specifically machine learning techniques in Python. Working in a corporate environment was not for me, but I enjoyed the process of knowledge sharing. Based on that, as well as how much fulfilment I got from the volunteer tutoring I did throughout 2021, right now I wish to pursue teaching seriously. I am starting with mathematics tutoring since this is what I am familiar with teaching. Throughout 2021 I did volunteer mathematics tutoring for lower and upper secondary students, so I am confident in my ability to break down complicated concepts and make them easier to understand. I aim to eventually also teach the following: Chemistry, Physics, English, Python programming. I love interacting with young children (primary school, lower secondary), responding to their curiosity, and giving them the tools to acquire further knowledge. My way of teaching is using different methods to see which students find it best and then I use it to guide them. I try to use ideologies that relate to them so that they can better picture and understand the concepts. When they go wrong or don’t understand, I patiently guide them on where they are wrong and how to go about doing it right.
