I am a former school teacher with experience in both online and face-to-face lessons. My students know me as a fun and engaging tutor who brings subjects to life through a variety of methods, including storytelling, demonstrations, and hands-on activities. I actively encourage critical thinking and welcome questions in every lesson.
Patient and committed, I recognize that students come from diverse backgrounds and have different learning needs. Some benefit from repeated explanations, while others require firm guidance to stay on track. For some, a little encouragement can make all the difference. I tailor each lesson to the individual and work closely with both students and parents to achieve their specific goals.
I hold a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Psychology from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Masters in Education from National Institute of Education (NIE), which equips me to better understand students and help them overcome challenges. I believe that engaged, motivated, and self-directed learners perform best, and I aim to nurture these qualities so that students eventually become independent learners who no longer require tuition.
My students have shown marked improvement in their results, with many achieving distinctions in their subjects. My goal is to build a strong foundation for their long-term success. I believe that with the right strategies and techniques, results will follow naturally. More importantly, I strive to help students enjoy the learning process and develop the confidence to pursue knowledge both in and beyond the classroom.
