From 2020 to 2026, I accumulated over on and off 3-4 years of teaching and tutoring experience across tuition centres and private tutoring. I began as a Part-Time Tutor at MPM in 2020, teaching Mathematics to groups of 5–8 preschool and lower primary students. From 2022 to 2024, I worked at EduFirst Tuition Centre, conducting small-group and one-to-one lessons in Primary English, Mathematics, and Chinese, as well as Secondary Pure Chemistry and Physics. Between 2024 and 2025, I provided private tuition to seven students, teaching subjects ranging from Preschool Phonics, Mathematics, and Chinese to Primary English, Mathematics, and Chinese. During the same period, I also worked as a Part-Time English Marker. From 2025 to 2026, I served as a Part-Time Tutor at Thoughts Box, teaching Chinese, Mathematics, and English to lower primary and lower secondary students.

I don't use a fixed syllabus template that I teach everyone, every student is different. - I try my best to use analogies and stories or tools to make my students remember and relate to terms/areas that are hard for them to memorise (e.g. types of angles in math, parts of the system in science). - I have been told the above point is very helpful, along with repetition questions of their weak areas as I use spaced repetition and active recall. - Parents have also chosen me due to my nursing background which they have equated to patience and ability to guide - I can answer students’ questions via whatsapp about their homework - I have experience teaching children with ADHD and ASD Unless requested otherwise, I teach each topic from scratch as if the student does not know anything as this was something I would have appreciated my teachers doing. Instead of thinking “this is simple, they would understand so I will just skip this part”, I like to teach the whole topic in detail.

I was a relief teacher post JC and during undergraduate days (4 years). Since working in the corporate sector, I stopped my private tutoring. Recently (2025-2026) I pursued my Masters program in Economics and started re-learning again Calculus / Statistics and it reignited my interest in Math once again.
