Experience
With over 13 years of experience in Mathematics education, I provide high-level, personalised coaching for students at Primary, Secondary and Junior College levels. My teaching spans major academic pathways including PSLE, O-Level, A-Level, IGCSE and IB, as well as AEIS preparation for international students entering Singapore government schools. I also mentor students preparing for Mathematics Olympiads and advanced problem-solving competitions.
My foundation in Mathematics is both rigorous and distinguished. As a student, I represented my school in national competitions and was awarded Silver (2007) and Bronze (2006) at the Singapore Mathematical Olympiad. These formative experiences developed not just technical ability, but mathematical maturity — the deep ability to think critically, abstractly and strategically.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematical Sciences (Statistics specialisation) from Nanyang Technological University. My academic training ensures that students are guided with conceptual precision, intellectual clarity and structured progression, rather than superficial exam drilling.
My coaching philosophy is centred on depth, refinement and confidence. High achievement in Mathematics is not built on shortcuts, but on strong foundations and disciplined thinking. I work closely with each student to diagnose conceptual gaps, sharpen analytical skills, and cultivate mathematical intuition. Every lesson is individually tailored to the student’s cognitive style, pace and long-term academic goals.
Many of my students are capable learners who require not just tuition, but intellectual mentorship — guidance that stretches their thinking while strengthening examination performance. My sessions are intentionally focused, structured and outcome-driven, designed for families who value academic excellence and sustained improvement.
For parents seeking a Mathematics specialist who combines strong academic credentials, refined one-to-one mentorship and competition experience, I offer a structured pathway towards both examination success and higher-order mathematical competence.
