I also have tutoring experience at Kumon, where I guided primary and secondary school students in Mathematics through a structured and individualized learning approach. Hi Parents, I am an ex school teacher but currently also on flexi adjuncts. I have been teaching for about 30 years. I have taught students from different backgrounds, from neighbourhood schools to IP and IB, as well. These schools include Fajar sec, St Anthony, Unity sec, Woodlands Ring, Crescent Girls, Jurong East Sec, RI, Nanyang Girls, SJI, RGS and many more. I also have experience dealing with students with autism and depression as well. Every student is unique in their way, so different teaching techniques and approaches are different . The syllabus has evolved into a more application of concepts so it is important that student is able to understand the concept instead of just memorising the steps. I will have to make sure that student is able to understand concept through clear explanation, note taking and practising. Worksheets will be provided. Students can also WhatsApp me questions which they need to clarify during off tuition time as well in order to encourage them to practice more on their own . Thank u!

I have been teaching for 18 years and specialising in Chemistry for 12 years. I have immense experience teaching O and A level chemistry to a variety of students from schools across Singapore. I'm passionate at delivery quality lessons, catering my teaching style to each student's learning needs and style. I provide notes where needed, helping students break down concepts in an easy-to-understand manner. I always aim to build good rapport with my students, as I believe this is the foundation to a good learning environment. Having been through both IB and PSLE, I think I am perfectly capable of spotting the main points in the curriculum and able to pass down my knowledge to children who are going through the same thing as me. In most subjects, I would attempt active recall with students, where pop quizzes would happen regularly, as well as recap on the previous class's topic.
