I am a passionate and results-driven Tamil tutor with a proven track record of helping students excel in their Tamil studies. My mission is to not only improve academic performance but also nurture a deep appreciation and love for the Tamil language. These online sessions are structured yet interactive, allowing students to stay engaged while - Two students improved their grades from B4 to A1 through targeted learning strategies, consistent revision, and focused exam preparation techniques. - Two students advanced from C5 to B3, overcoming challenges in grammar, comprehension, and written expression with structured guidance and regular practice. - Two students progressed from AL7 to AL2 by strengthening their foundational language skills, especially in vocabulary, sentence construction, and reading fluency. - Two students achieved AL1, showcasing outstanding improvement in composition writing and oral communication. Teaching Approach 1. Personalized Lessons Every student is unique, and so are my lesson plans. I customize each session based on the student's individual strengths, weaknesses, and learning pace to ensure meaningful and effective learning outcomes. 2. Exam-Focused Strategies My lessons are aligned with the latest MOE syllabus and designed to prepare students thoroughly for their school exams and national assessments. This includes practice papers, model answers, and time management techniques. 3. Progress Monitoring I conduct regular assessments to track student progress, identify areas for improvement, and adjust teaching methods accordingly. Feedback is shared with both students and parents to ensure transparency and shared goals. 4. Engaging Online Lessons For my Secondary 1 and 2 students, I leverage digital tools, interactive slides, and real-time discussions to make online learning dynamic and productive. These sessions focus on building confidence in language use, both written and oral, while encouraging active participation.

I previously managed and operated a preschool facility and have extensive experience working with young children, international students, and learners from diverse backgrounds. I am an SMU graduate with extensive tutoring experience since my undergraduate years, specialising in Primary School English, Math and Science, as well as JC H2 Economics. Over the years, I have worked with students of varying abilities and consistently focus on helping them achieve measurable academic improvement through a structured and highly personalised teaching approach. I am a tutor with 15 years of experience working in an educational therapy centre supporting preschool, primary school English and Mathematics, and secondary school Mathematics students with learning needs. I conduct lessons in 1.5-hour structured sessions using clear, step-by-step instruction, multisensory activities to help children stay engaged. During the COVID period, I also conducted online lessons for preschoolers and adapted lessons for effective home-based learning. I place strong emphasis on building confidence, breaking learning into manageable parts, and giving frequent encouragement and feedback so students feel safe to try and learn from mistakes. I partner closely with parents and school teachers to update and address concerns to maximise each student’s learning outcomes. I hold a Science degree from NUS and a Diploma in Learning Needs from DAS (Dyslexia Association of Singapore) to support children with conditions such as autism, dyslexia, mild intellectual disability and ADHD.
