After PSLE, I was in the O levels track and took O Levels in 2023. I went on to study in the International Baccalaureate program and graduated in 2025. I have experienced many types of learning styles, both from my teachers and during self-study and I am able to adapt to the learning styles of others. Although I have no experience in teaching students, I do have younger relatives that I teach when they need help and through that, I learned how to teach kids. I am currently looking to teach mainly math as that is my strong suit, but once i familiarise myself with the new PSLE syllabus for science, I will start teaching science as well.

I have been teaching for more than 30 years, including over 15 years in Singapore in a well-known International School. My specialism is Mathematics, where I have taught across the full age and ability range. I am particularly strong at IGCSE and IB SL teaching. At IB, I am also a senior member of the examining team for IB Maths AI at SL level, although I have also taught the AA syllabus for many years. My emphasis is on trying to link new maths to things students have done before - and highlight the "essentials" from the "rare extensions" to maximise success. I want to encourage through small successes, rather than demotivate through continual failure!
