I have five years of experience in HR, which has honed my communication and organizational skills. Outside of work, I thoroughly enjoy helping my four nephews and nieces with their schoolwork. Acting as their part-time tutor has not only been fulfilling but also reinforced my passion for education, especially in the Mandarin subject. Since Primary 5, I have had a deep interest in reading Mandarin literature and have read countless books over the years. This love for the language fuels my passion to help students improve their Mandarin skills and develop an appreciation for the subject. Additionally, some of my past works have even been featured in newspapers, further reflecting my commitment to the Mandarin language and literature. I graduated from University this year with a degree in Engineering Science. I am currently working part time in Starbucks and waiting for the outcome of my application for a Graduate Diploma in Social Work before deciding on my next steps. Teaching Experience: - I have tutored a Primary 2 boy in Math and Primary 4 girl in science in the past but did not manage to teach them for long as I started just before the outbreak of Covid. - I am also currently volunteering at a children's home, and I am tutoring a Primary 2 boy mainly in math but sometimes I will help out with his English work as well. - During my first year of university I was involved in a programme that went down weekly to a secondary school to mentor sec 3 students on leadership. My teaching methods tend more to usage of visuals and diagrams as I myself am a visual learner.

8 years in China as a Yangtze University lecturer at Confucius institute Kentucky University I was also a ASE education group (Vision Chinese) department director for 1 year. I also served in MOE as a secondary school training new school teachers in teaching Chinese. In home tuition, my secondary students were from River Valley, Nanyang, Ang mo kioVictoria, SJII and Hwa Chong International school. I taught a P5 student who was scoring 60 to PSLE 75 marks, he was from River valley primary school. I also taught another primary student who was an Indian and he improved a lot under my guidance. I am also an IB certified teacher, I took the DP Chinese A: Language and literature Cat 1 at the Shanghai United International School - Gubei Campus, Shanghai, China
