My journey as a full time tutor started in 2019 when I began assisting friends' children with their schoolwork. I realised that these students lacked a foundational grasp of the English language, a gap that busy parents often couldn't fill. I created a structured approach that went beyond simple homework help, into full-fledged grammar lessons, vocabulary building, comprehension reading and interpretation and composition/ creative writing. Over the years, I have successfully guided and taught students from Primary 1 through Secondary 1. I have prepared them for exams by setting regular test papers and providing customized practice worksheets when needed. Taught a PSLE child that failed her science papers and just failed her math paper before I taught her. Ultimately for her PSLE, she got an A for math and as for science she passed and got 5 points. She showed better understanding in being able to write steps by step in and understanding the questions better. She is able to now find the patterns in the questions and slowly dissect the questions like how I did. Since she is a slow learner, I came up with multiple explanations and slowly explained to her till she gets it right.
