I have over 1.5 years of experience as a special needs teacher at Pathlight School, teaching Primary 1 and Primary 3 students and supporting approximately 6–8 students with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties. During this time, I helped students develop confidence, communication, and writing skills, while supporting core subjects such as English, Math, and Science, as well as daily living skills programs. In addition, I have casually tutored my younger brother and friends, resulting in measurable improvements in their English and academic performance. During my Master’s in Psychology, I completed multiple practical placements with clients with intellectual disabilities (ID), ADHD, and ASD, gaining hands-on experience in assessment, individualized instruction, and learning support strategies. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology and am currently completing my Master’s in Psychology, receiving scholarships during both programs in recognition of my academic achievements. My teaching approach is structured, individualized, and engaging, using visual aids, reward-based systems, and tailored lesson plans to meet each student’s needs. Currently focusing on teaching P5 and P6 students. I’ve helped 18+ students improve, with over 75% jumping from F to B or C to A. I also scored A for PSLE Math, English and Chinese.
