I’m a final-year Social Work student at Nanyang Polytechnic with experience leading group/event projects and facilitating discussions among peers. I recently completed my studies and am preparing to enter university, and I am looking to support students in achieving consistent academic progress. Academically, I achieved A1 in both GCE O-Level Elementary Mathematics and Advanced Mathematics, as well as an A in GCE A-Level H2 Mathematics. Having excelled in the subject, I understand the challenges students often face and am able to explain concepts clearly in a simple step-by-step manner. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their problem-solving skills as well as ultimately enjoying the subject. Although I am new to formal tutoring, I have much experience in guiding my younger siblings in their studies, assisting them with homework, exam preparation, and concept mastery. I am a Master's student in Chinese Language and Literature at the National University of Singapore (NUS), with a strong academic background in Chinese literature, linguistics, and writing. I have teaching experience from two high school internships, where I taught Chinese Language and served as a homeroom teacher. My class achieved top results in Chinese, and I guided students to award-winning performances in competitions. I also have IELTS 7.0 and can tutor English and academic writing. Most notably, I helped a secondary 4 student go from failing Chinese to achieving a B3 in the O level examination. Now in restarting tutoring, I’m open to teaching Chinese and English.
