I am an SMU graduate with extensive tutoring experience since my undergraduate years, specialising in Primary School English, Math and Science, as well as JC H2 Economics. Over the years, I have worked with students of varying abilities and consistently focus on helping them achieve measurable academic improvement through a structured and highly personalised teaching approach. Rather than relying on rote learning, I identify each student’s learning style and pinpoint conceptual gaps quickly, allowing lessons to be tailored for maximum effectiveness. My students are guided to develop strong understanding, exam techniques, and confidence — enabling them not only to improve their grades, but also to become more independent learners over time. Having achieved outstanding academic results myself — including A* in all PSLE subjects and an A in H2 Economics — I understand both the academic rigour required to excel and the strategies needed to perform well in Singapore’s education system. Beyond academics, I also offer Japanese language coaching for adults. I attained JLPT N1 proficiency in 2013 and continue to use Japanese fluently in conversation today. As a non-native speaker who successfully achieved fluency, I am able to provide learners with practical study methods that make the learning process more efficient and sustainable.

I am a tutor with 15 years of experience working in an educational therapy centre supporting preschool, primary school English and Mathematics, and secondary school Mathematics students with learning needs. I conduct lessons in 1.5-hour structured sessions using clear, step-by-step instruction, multisensory activities to help children stay engaged. During the COVID period, I also conducted online lessons for preschoolers and adapted lessons for effective home-based learning. I place strong emphasis on building confidence, breaking learning into manageable parts, and giving frequent encouragement and feedback so students feel safe to try and learn from mistakes. I partner closely with parents and school teachers to update and address concerns to maximise each student’s learning outcomes. I hold a Science degree from NUS and a Diploma in Learning Needs from DAS (Dyslexia Association of Singapore) to support children with conditions such as autism, dyslexia, mild intellectual disability and ADHD. I have a couple of NT OR G1 secondary school students who failed their Maths and English , yet managed to secure a B grade in their N levels.

I was a ex MOE teacher with 30 years of teaching experience. I was teaching in Montfort sec school til May 2026. I am a FAJT teaching math in a sec sch now. I hold a BSc (Merit) in Computer Science from National University of Singapore and a PGDE (Secondary) in Mathematics from National Institute of Education. I have taught both A-Math and E-Math across all levels. I am also trained in Special Education Needs (SEN) and EdTech. For one of the students I had guided closely, his English improved from a failing grade to about 59 marks after consistent mindset coaching and academic support. What sets me apart is I also do mindset coaching for students . Right learning mindset improve confidence and is key to making progress. For Mathematics, I have experience helping students with concept explanation, and practice reinforcement, homework guidance I customise teaching approach based on student needs. Hi! I am a patient and friendly tutor who is passionate about helping students grow in both confidence and academic ability! I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style according to each student's pace and learning needs. Hi! I’m currently studying Data Science and Economics at NUS, and I’ve been teaching O-Level E-Math and A-Math for about 3 years now. I’m currently still teaching 3 students as well. Last year, I taught 5 students ranging from Sec 1 to Sec 4. Most of them showed significant improvement over time. One of my Sec 4 students was consistently scoring F9 for Math before tuition, but eventually improved to a B3 for O-Levels. I also had Sec 1 and Sec 2 students who attained A1 for their final exams, while another Sec 3 student improved to a B3 by the end of the year. For my lessons, I usually focus on strengthening foundations, identifying weak areas, and helping students become more confident and consistent when solving questions. Mdm. Wu Xue Ni - former award-winning Chinese station DJ and news caster is the founder and principal of Xue Ni Language Centre (雪妮语文中心), a Singapore Chinese language institution she established in 1995.
