TEACHING STYLE: My teaching approach focuses on first identifying a student’s weaker areas and understanding why certain mistakes occur. I also try to understand how the student feels about different parts of the subject so I can get a more complete picture of the challenges they are facing. From there, I'll work on addressing the root causes and building the skills needed for the student to improve. I noticed that young students consistently had difficulty concentrating during sessions. Instead of adopting a strict approach that might discourage participation, I adjusted my teaching methods to better suit their needs. I introduced short breaks during longer lessons and incorporated interactive elements such as guiding questions and step-by-step problem solving to keep students engaged. I also adapted my explanations using diagrams, visual examples, and simple analogies to clarify complex concepts. For students who learned better through practice, I included short exercises during the lesson and encouraged them to attempt questions independently before guiding them through the solution. Over time, these adjustments improved students’ focus and participation while also building their confidence. This experience reinforced the importance of patience, adaptability, and understanding different learning styles when helping students succeed.
