Taught a PSLE child that failed her science papers and just failed her math paper before I taught her. Ultimately for her PSLE, she got an A for math and as for science she passed and got 5 points. She showed better understanding in being able to write steps by step in and understanding the questions better. She is able to now find the patterns in the questions and slowly dissect the questions like how I did. Since she is a slow learner, I came up with multiple explanations and slowly explained to her till she gets it right.

i have taught my two kids at home in the last 8 years , one of them with Dyslexia and ADHD since primary one till now Secondary 3 (in Maths and Science). I am familiar with the Primary school MOE curriculum and the methodologies used in solving Maths problem sums. I am a proactive tutor who will constantly fine- tune teaching methods and adopt different teaching strategies to help each individual child to learn. Having taught a child with learning difficulties, I am a more adaptable and flexible tutor who is sensitive to the child's learning needs. I have volunteered , providing free tutoring services at a student care organisation in the evening from 8-10pm for a period of time (6 months) but however due to the late night commitment and the long travelling distance back to home, I have stopped the volunteering.

I graduated from NUS with a degree in Psychology (Honours) in 2024. I have a strong passion for teaching and I aim to help students build up confidence and find fun in learning. I have tutored students ranging from 6 years old to as old as 21 years old. I was previously at a tuition centre (Hui Cai Education) where I taught English, Maths and Science for primary and secondary level.
