Sec 4 IP - E math A, A Math A, Chem A A levels - H2 Math A, Chem A Teaching approach: - On my first lesson, I always go through the MOE syllabus with my students and figure out their current mastery level. - Based on that, I proceed with either going through topics and basic concepts or diving into practicing questions. - I always make sure that my students have solidified their foundation first, before moving onto test papers / assessment books. - I also provide notes for all topics and create my own worksheets when it nears exam time to test their understanding. Some of these notes can be provided as a sample to be seen upon request of parent. - I value practice the most, as practice makes perfect and hence I put in a lot of time for revision with all my students. Track records and related experiences: - My Pri students have ranged from Pri 3 - Pri 6/PSLE and Sec students have ranged from Sec 1-4. - Most of my students have achieved an average increase of at least 2 grades after my tutoring. - Highly familiar with the MOE syllabus therefore can guarantee a good teaching experience. - I have taught over 20 students, ranging from Primary 2 to Primary 6 and Secondary 1 to Secondary 4. Several of my Secondary students have improved significantly, progressing from C grades to As, with most ultimately achieving A1 or A2 in their final examinations, and some attaining Bs. Overall, the majority of my students show an average improvement of at least two grades after consistent tutoring. I am also highly familiar with the MOE syllabus and am thus able to provide a structured and effective learning experience which is personalised to each student’s needs.

Currently waiting for university at NUS Business I recently started tutoring, and currently have a few private tutees, and am also registered as a relief teacher at Mavis tution centre and MOE. My teaching approach is simple. Concept first, Application afterwards. As someone that has been through the system and major examinations, I realised that understanding is always the first step. Application comes with practice, but with the right guidance, keywords and structure of answers and the method of solving becomes almost second nature. I always strive to attain this for my tutees.
