With experience working closely with Primary 1 to Primary 6 students, I provide personalised academic support in English and Mathematics tailored to each child’s learning needs and pace. I focus on building strong foundational skills, improving confidence, and creating a positive and engaging learning environment where students feel encouraged to learn and grow. I have experience supporting students across varying academic abilities, including those who require additional guidance in literacy, comprehension, grammar, composition writing, problem-solving, and exam preparation. For upper primary students, particularly those preparing for the PSLE, I provide structured guidance, targeted practice, and effective learning strategies to strengthen both understanding and performance. Beyond academics, I place strong emphasis on nurturing students’ confidence, motivation, independence, and learning habits. Lessons are adapted to suit each learner’s strengths and areas for growth through hands-on activities, visual supports, scaffolded instruction, and interactive teaching methods. In addition, I also specialise in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SPED), offering enrichment and home-based learning support that focuses on engagement, communication, routine-building, emotional regulation, and functional academic skills in a safe and encouraging environment.

Have been tutoring for 2 years and able to tutor both Math and Chinese! I am a patient tutor who believes every student learns at their own pace. Methodology: - Ensure that students gain confidence by practicing past year papers before exams - Reinforce student's learning with assessment books and quizzes to ensure confidence - Drill on weak concepts to ensure student gains confidence in their weaker topics Math: I adopt a hands-on, concept-based approach that builds understanding and confidence. For lower primary students, I use games, stories, and real-life examples to make lessons engaging and relatable. For upper primary students, I focus on concept mastery and problem-solving strategies, breaking down each topic step-by-step. Chinese I adopt an interactive and supportive approach that helps students build strong language foundations and confidence in using Chinese. For lower primary students, I use stories, visuals, songs, and simple conversations to make learning enjoyable and engaging. For upper primary students, I focus on strengthening vocabulary, comprehension, oral communication, and composition skills through structured practice and clear explanations tailored to each student’s learning pace. Student’s Results: - P4 Math student saw an improvement from AL4 to AL2 in 1 term - P3 Chinese student saw an improvement from 27/50 to 35/50 in 3 lessons! - Average students grades ranges from 70-80/100 - Students showed visible improvements in grades and exam confidence

I feel that I am very patient with the students since I myself may sometimes be a slow learner, I am able to put myself into their shoes if they are unable to understand the concepts behind each topic. Therefore, I can help teach the students more effectively as I can better guide them. I am also responsible in terms of whether the students I teach are learning anything and having to update their parents to ensure that the students are indeed learning. Being responsible also means having to come out with new concepts and work to be taught to the students as well. Lastly, I am resourceful in terms of teaching by having the ability to find creative ways to explain a concept when the standard textbook method is not working.

I’m a patient and passionate Math tutor and have been teaching since university days, with over 5 years of experience teaching primary and secondary level students. I enjoy helping students build confidence and discover that Math can actually be fun once they understand it. I have helped over 25 students in their Mathematics journey, Primary and Secondary level (G2/G3). Many of my students have improved by 3 bands or more, while others have managed to maintain their top grades consistently. I focus a lot on helping them strengthen their foundations, avoid careless mistakes, and approach each question with the right mindset. My lessons are structured but never stressful — I believe in guiding students step by step so they can understand concepts clearly and feel proud of their progress.

Successfully helped a student pass Combined Chemistry/Biology for the first time in her 4 years of study, achieving an overall grade of A2 within just one month. Guided another student to attain A1 in both Chemistry and Biology within 3 months of tuition. Helped 2 additional students achieve A1 in Combined Chemistry.
