I am a full time tutor with 25 years of experience,specializing in PSLE and O-Level exam preparation. I excel at helping students achieve significant academic improvements in a short time. In 2024, three of my PSLE students achieved AL2, while an O-Level student progressed from failing grades to scoring B4 in the mid-year exam and further improved to B3 in the final exam. My teaching approach focuses on tailored strategies and exam techniques, ensuring each student reaches their full potential.

I have been teaching in a private tuition center. I teach from primary to junior college. Have taught 4 students H2 chemistry before in home tuition and tuition centre. I have experience in teaching primary 3 and 4 science as I have helped the student to achieve AL2 in her final term exams. She had achieved a consistent AL1 in her weighted assessment. I have experience in teaching Sec 1/2 science and maths for 2 years and have helped 2 students to achieve A1 for both their science and maths. One of which he scored top of his class and he even got bronze for SIMCC. I have 2 years of experience in teaching additional mathematics be it in G2/G3 and have helped 4 students scored consistent A1 in their Weighted assessments and prelims. I was an Educational Therapist who trained and worked at the Dyslexia Association of Singapore. I'm not NIE trained but am familiar with MOE Syllabus and have thought many students with and without Dyslexia the English language. I am currently a full time Educational Therapist and English Tutor. I am not able to include details of my Specialist Diploma in Learning Support for Specific Learning Differences on the website. With a degree from the National University of Singapore, I have more than 10 years of experience teaching English to students who struggle in the subject. I have transformed hundreds of non-readers and spellers into proficient ones teaching phonics using an approach based on Orton Gillingham Pricinciples. In addition to that, I am highly skilled in teaching the other aspects of the English language explicitly. Components of it include Vocabulary, Grammar, Comprehension,Composition, according to the MOE syllabus.I believe in creating positive learning experiences for students so that they can maximise their potential to learn.

I have one year experience teaching primary 5 and 6 math during volunteering. I have also taught secondary 3 math for half year. After giving tuition to the sec 3 girl, her grades increase from B4 to A2. I have taught Sec 4 Higher Chinese for half year, student’s grades improved from B3 to A1. I like to understand my student’s needs and preferences before crafting a personalised learning plan for them. I hope to make the lesson fun and engaging for students while improving together :)

My experience mainly involves teaching my friends but I currently have one student under me. I prefer to teach by walking through the entire thought process of dissecting a question and then answering it step by step, which is particularly effective for sciences and mathematics. I also enjoy sharing exam tips that I have personally found useful. Given that I recently graduated (IP; just took A-Levels), I would say I have a solid understanding of the syllabus (IP/OP).
