I currently do not have experience in teaching academic subjects, but from 2021-2022, I was the President of St John Brigade, where I created lesson plans for Home Nursing and Physical Training, and executed them by conducting lessons through slides with bite-sized content. I have half a year of experience teaching a JC2 Student H2 Physics. I am a student from NUS High School of Mathematics and Science, with Honours in Physics, Majors in Chemistry, Math, Computer Science. I have qualifications in English and English Literature, with a degree in English Literature from NUS. In terms of my teaching approach, I generally cater my classes towards the students' needs, and am equally results-driven as I am process-driven. This means that while I value results, I also understand that progress might not always manifest in "good grades", especially because seeing progress and improvement in the student's grades and learning attitudewill require time and patience. I believe in figuring out what the students' pain points and barriers to learning/progressing are to provide adequate guidance that is fit-for-purpose. I have worked in Kumon tuition centre before as a part time teacher for a year. I mainly taught math, teaching children from as young as 3-4 years old, to P6, occasionally teaching english as well. I mark their class work and homework, and go through corrections with them when needed. Afterwards, I also have experience teaching in another tuition centre, focusing mainly on primary school math and science. I currently have 5 1-1 students of my own. I have two math students, two chinese students and I am currently also teaching and preparing one student for math olympiad and math competitions.
