I have 1 year experience in private tutoring IB English Literature and Secondary 2 Literature, 2 students in total. After teaching the IB student, his Literature grades went up from a 5 (equivalent to a low B4/high C5) to a 7 (equivalent to an A1) and achieved 7 in his IB exams eventually. After teaching the Secondary 2 student, his Literature grades went up from a B4 to an A2. I also taught my little brother P6 English and his grades went from a low B to an A in PSLE, in 6 months. For an overseas volunteering trip, I was also part of the executive committee that constructed a long-term English syllabus to teach the students there.

I have worked as a part-time tutor at a tuition centre during my university days and moved on to become a full-time tuition centre teacher after I graduated. I also have experience being a private tutor since my university days. After my tuition centre stint, I moved on to teaching tuition in a student care centre while still providing home tuition. I mainly tutor Primary School students (Maths) and Upper Secondary School students (Chemistry). Under my guidance, my students have improved their grades from a failing grade to at least a 'B' grade. Apart from assessment books (either the student’s or mine), I will also prepare additional materials (my own worksheets or past year papers) to provide more practices and enhance students’ understanding whenever necessary.

I was teaching in Kranji secondary school and left in 2019. I specialise in teaching students in maths, E maths and A maths since 2008 and have taught in MOE schools for 5 years. I tutor students for their entire secondary school life, with some starting tuition with me ever since they were in primary 6. Within the first year of tutoring, students will improve by at least 3 grades. Many of them fail maths before engaging me as a tutor. But all of my students have scored A1 for their E maths and at least B3 for their A maths. I am very familiar with the secondary school syllabus and have a question bank at hand to provide further practice. My students like having tuition with me as I cater to their pace and they are not afraid to ask me questions. I am also patient and am able to explain a concept in different ways to cater to the needs of the students. Once the foundation has been built, I also am able to stretch the student's abilities so that they can maximise their potential. The aim I have for all my students is that they can all take A maths in sec 3 if they join my tuition in lower sec.
