I am a full time tutor who specializes in Mathematics for Upper Secondary students. I believe that the most important requirements of a tutor is the commitment and attitude towards imparting important knowledge and study methods to my students, to improve their grades and to increase their confidence in solving problems. This will in turn increase their motivation to work hard. My previous students, who included 3 students from Top schools, gave me feedback that they had benefitted from the tuition given, once I had taught them and went through the concepts and applications with them. While not all of them had gone on to obtain As, most of them have improved by at least 1-3 grades. I expect my students to put in the efforts as well, as Mathematics is really a subject wheee practice makes perfect.

I am avid learner in mathematics, with distinguished grades in the subject from Primary School up till my current undergraduate studies in Economics. I have received numerous academic achievements, such as having a diploma with merit, on top of being in the Dean's list. Similarly, I am striving to achieve in my University (with a current CGPA of 3.83/4.00) to develop myself both academically and professionally. I had also been awarded the Yee Cho Sin Most Improved Marist Award in 2015, which recognized the student who improved the most in their O-Level results based on their PSLE scores. I would thus believe that I am familiar with the struggles of trying to improve one's academics, and leverage on that to bolster my teaching proficiency. Experience-wise, it has been mostly limited to volunteer work. The most significant of which would be in the 1st half of 2022, where I taught mathematics to Primary School students at a student care centre.

I have regularly produced value-added results both for my school students as well as my tuition students.
