Used to be an English Prechool Teacher for more than 10 years and move on to management role and led a Preschool of 500 capacity Currently a full time tutor major in teaching English and Phonics from preschoolers to Primary 6 students as well as children attending international school. Work on improving the children's weakness and building on their strength. Focus on the fundamental of English such as Grammar, Sentence Structure and gradually building on children's repertoir of vocabulary. A holistic emphasis on all 4 areas of English in the aspects of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Also have the knowledge to prep the children to acquire the necessary Math concept in helping them transit to P1 as I have been teaching K2 levels for a few years back in school. Currently 80% of my students are of preschoolers age group Recent students: P1- Taught a foreign student with zero English background when she came to Singapore at the age of 8 years old. Student then move in to complete her Primary, Secondary and Junior College education and is not studying University in Australia. K2- After a month of lesson, the child displays great improvement in his ability to recognise more high frequency words when initially he was not even able to blend 2 letters together. Now is also also able to blend the letters together and read unfamiliar vocabulary words P2- Prior to me teaching the boy, he had always scored less than 3/10 for his spelling and dictations. Shortly after I taught him, around 2 weeks, he passed his spelling and scored 8/10
