When I take on a student, I feel it is extremely important to know his or her weaknesses and work forward to improve on it. To do so, I’ll be providing the student with a practice paper to detect the sections they are weak at. I will then come up with specific teaching methods to help students to tackle the different question types. During this process, I'll be providing tips which can be used to gain extra marks in examinations. It is important for students to gain understanding to enhance learning. I have gained a year of experience.

Hey! my name is Ernest. I’m 19 this year turning 20. I am an extrovert that is very sociable! I have gotten a distinction for my O Level Chinese oral and obtained a B3 for my written paper. I have taught 6 students after graduating and the lowest grade my students received was b3. One of my student improved from a d7 (fail) to b3 (almost a distinction) in a span of 2 months (CA1 to MYE) . I will plan out accordingly, the goal of every lesson, ensuring that my students will learn the key concepts after every lesson. I am also very confident that I will be very patient and ensure that my students understood what I have taught during the lesson.

I have taught Phonics to children, by starting off with phonetic awareness, blending (CV and CVC blends), sight words and digraphs. The youngest child I have taught had been able to read short stories containing sight words and CVC blends at a young age of 3. I am currently working in Inno montessori as the lead (senior teacher). The method used will be following the Montessori approach as I have been a Montessori teacher for 8 years. I also scored A2 for English language for my O levels.

A volunteer attached to a MOE local secondary school to guide sec4 express and NA students to prepare for their upcoming national exams in the subject of e-math/chemistry. [4 months and present]. Feedback given by the students were they are able to better consolidate the concepts taught and be able to precisely answer to exam questions to achieve higher marks. I have experience teaching Amath since 2023 Jan until now [ 7 months, private tutor], Kid is preparing for his O levels I am currently teaching a P6 boy diagnosed with ADHD preparing for PSLE Science, grade has improved from AL7 to AL4

I had 3 years of teaching experience. Previously I was a tutor at Freeman tuition center, teaching A math from December 2019 to April 2020. On the side, I taught 5 students (Private Home tuition 1-1). 4 of the 5 students, had excellent results for A math during their O-Level examination. 2 of the 4, improved from a C6 in prelims to an A1 during their O-Levels. I have other tutoring experiences in E-Math, English, Combined Humanities(History and Social Studies) and Chinese. About myself: I specialise in A math, I scored an A1 for A-Math in secondary school and I was the top of the cohort and I was given the prize of first in standard. In university, I topped my cohort for mathematics as well. Being a slow starter and having a rough start in early life. I understand how a student would feel being in a society where it is so academically focused. With this experience, I am able to communicate better with my students that have a hard time with their academics. I will be able to tailor my teaching style to fit the needs of my student.
