I have six years of experience tutoring students from various academic levels and backgrounds, from National Service till university graduation. I teach Mathematics and Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) from upper primary level to 'O'/'N' levels, with the majority of my students starting from Sec 2 and Sec 3. I personalize my teaching style for each student based on what suits them best so that I can optimize the limited time available for tutoring, and I have a track record of reasonable improvement in grades for all of my previous students. One particular student had only started tuition with me on the April of her 'O' level year, and within the course of the remaining months, her grades for Combined Science (Phy/Chem) improved from a failing grade to B3. I have been on a hiatus from tutoring after graduating from university to focus on full-time work in my field of experience. Having settled into work, I am looking to tutor students as a passion of mine. I am looking to tutor for IB students as well after my experience working in the field of Engineering, with more confidence in my knowledge of Maths and Physics at a higher level. Prefer to tutor in-person but I am also available for online tutoring.

I was a part time tutor 20 years ago and taught pre-primary (English and Mathematics), primary (all subjects), secondary (Mathematics and Additional Mathematics) and Junior College (Mathematics C) students. I stopped tutoring as I was busy with work and taking care of my children. I resigned from my job recently and decided to become a part time tutor again. Hi, I have about 5 years of experience teaching mainly mathematics and science for primary level and lower secondary level. My teaching style is to understand how the student learns and adapt so that the child grasps the concept. Moreover, I am very patient with young kids. My recent achievement would be with this primary 4 kid. He was transferred from an international school to a government school. His parents were worried as he was struggling in school. Within 1 year, he achieved top of class for mathematics and A for science. Moreover, I was also nominated as a peer tutor during my time in University as I scored A for uni maths. Hence, I taught a group of 8 students and 70% scored A for their final grade.
