I have taught for 1.5 years of Mathematics so far. I used a variety of tools such as videos, games, and assessment books to engage my students and developing interest in Mathematics. I believe that the idea that every student teaching methods should be tailor made to suit their needs. Monthly quizzes are given to keep track of student progress and to see what are the gaps that are needed to be filled in order to move on to subsequent chapters. Dissecting problems sums are done frequently to allow students to be able to break down the question and so as to allow them not to panic in the event they are unable to attempt such questions.

 For Secondary Math, I either use the questions in the student's textbook or workbook, or Assessment books and/or past years papers from other schools Currently, I am teaching 2 Sec 2E, 1 Sec 2NA, 1 Sec 3E and 1 Sec 4E students I currently teach a Sec 2E student from Bukit Merah Sec. Have been teaching him since p5. I am also teaching a Sec 2N student from Gan Eng Seng Sec. Have been teaching her since Sec 1 I also have other students from Radin Mas Pr, CHIJ Kellock Convent, Alexandra Pr, Gan Eng Seng Sec, Bukit Merah Sec, St Theresa's Convent, Queensway Sec The average improvement is around 10% or 1 to 2 grades (eg B4 to A2). But some exceptional students improve from 45% (borderline pass) to 70%. It depends on how motivated the student is I am quite patient and I can explain to the student different methods to do a sum and see which method he understands best. I also believe that practice makes perfect I am patient but firm. I believe that a child can reach his potential when guided by a suitable teacher, and I hope to help my student become the best that he can be.
