I have been tutoring full-time for 9 years and was previously teaching in a school of international students. I teach English and Math across P1-6. I have 8 tutees at the moment. Parents can rest assured that I will be extremely patient with students at all times. I will always do an initial assessment of their current standing before I decide on the customized teaching methods for different individuals. I believe it is important to identify students’ needs first so as to teach effectively. I teach in school in the mornings to international kids. Currently engaged with 6 students of various levels. I do not apply a uniform teaching method to all my kids but a customised way depending on the kids' ability, degree of understanding and personality. This inevitably allows a more effective way for learning and absorbtion.

Some failed English initially, majority of them were scoring low 50s. After my lessons they have, and as mentioned in my previous msg, generally improved about 2 grades. Individual performance varies depending on the student learning ability and diligence.

For the recent 2 years I am teaching at a learning centre so I'm not quite sure which schools my students are from. Many of the students were failing (20-30 mark range), currently most students have passed (~60 marks), one of them scored 80+ for SA2 last year.

I have 1.5 year experience teaching H2 Math to a JC student from Raffles. After giving tuition to him, his grades have improved from a S grade to a B grade in his prelims. I will do my best to match my teaching style with my student's learning style to enhance learning. I will provide the relevant questions and go though with my student the concepts that he has doubts with to make sure he understands.

While completing my O and A levels, I was both an ESL (English as a Second Language) and Sociology tutor in school, for children below my grade. ESL students mainly included Korean and Chinese children , as well as a few French students. Here, my classes focused a lot on correcting grammatical errors and tweaking pronounciations for certain terms and words. For the Sociology classes, they were students from a batch below mine, who needed assistance and guidance with regard to writing critical essays for their A level examinations.
