Highest qualification: Graduate (Bachelor in Business Management) 7 years of experience teaching both Primary and Sec Math and 5 years of experince teaching Sec English on a private (1-to-1) setting in students' homes. I believe in starting from mastery of basic concepts if the student is weak. I provide guidance that is personalised and tailored to their ability/needs - I aim to help my students overcome their weaknesses by deciding what methods probably work best for them by adapting to their learning style and capitalising on their strengths, if applicable. I will also highlight common errors made or offer clarifications to conceptual errors when discussing questions during the lessons. Where necessary, I will provide notes/material to supplement their learning. Familiar with the syllabus, including that of the national exams ('O'/'N' Levels and PSLE). I believe that English, being a language that can take a long time to achieve mastery, requires constant practice for sustained improvement in reading and writing proficiency. In line with the latest syllabus, with the help of practice papers, I go through strategies/techniques to answer the questions in Paper 2. Considering that a good command of vocabulary is an advantage when it comes to excelling in the papers, I would encourage my students to keep a vocab book. I also occasionally make use of newspaper articles, if I find them useful for improving linguistic ability. When it comes to Paper 1, I will review questions and my students' work to ensure they write relevant content and minimise language errors.

Higher Diploma in Administrative Procedure  WSQ Staff Relief Program-Early Childhood under ECDA I have 8 yrs of experience teaching N1 to lower primary students. I have worked in a childcare centre as an assistant teacher. Currently teaching a K2 student Chinese. I usually start the lesson by reading a short story & will discuss some of the points in the story that we can learn and words that we can use in speaking and writing.  I find that in this way it can cultivate them the love of reading and increase their knowledge, this will help them in writing composition in the future.  Both my students love the story reading and will always ask me to read extra book before we start our lesson.   My lesson will also include some drawings and colouring that are related to our theme.  For younger children, I will include songs to be sung as well. This will help them to learn & focus better instead of just studying.  I have my own teaching materials. 3 students from Fuchun Primary....1 of them has been teaching from K2 Indonesian girl....at first don really know chinese words....now she's in P1 & she can listen & understand her chinese teacher & she is able to follow P1 chinese syllabus 2 students are bro & sis....has been teaching them 2yrs (consider this yr), the boy spelling has improved alot from Fail badly, now scoring either full marks or almost full marks 2 students fr Chong Fu primary....1 of them starting teaching last Yr Dec...initial chinese was v poor....failed...recent Mid Yr was able to pass by a few marks.
