I specialise in teaching sciences at secondary level. I have taught students from various background, ranging from Express/N(A)/N(T) streams to students under IP and IB programmes. While I may not be NIE-trained, my teaching techniques and pitching are customised according to different students' learning needs. Hence, all of my students found that they are able to connect with me better and could understand the concepts better than in school. Many of them who came to me with borderline passes or even failures eventually made it to good JCs (e.g. HCI) and I'm proud of them! And many happy parents also referred me to continue to teach the student's siblings and relatives. During lessons, I will help students to unpack the difficult concepts and summarise the key concepts of each topic into just one A4 page that students can use to quickly revise prior to tests/exams. All of my past students have found these notes to be very useful and have helped them to excel in their exams. I will also teach my students some useful studying technique and exam skills, which over my tutoring experience I found that this is the factor that determine how well the student does academically. Many of my past students came to me with borderline passes and some failures, but they all eventually obtained good results to get into the school of their choice!
