I have 5 years of Teaching experience as a private tutor. I have taught one IGCSE (equivalent O'Level) student and brought his Math, Physics and Chemistry grades from a B to an A+. Furthermore, I have taught two International Baccalaureate (IB) Student whose Physics (HL) and Mathematics (HL) grades were bumped up from a 5 to a 6 out of 7. I have great passion for mathematics and sciences which is why I have taken up Engineering as my career ahead. I am currently studying Engineering in NUS Singapore wherein I constantly use concepts from my Junior College Level. I am also on full Scholarship here because of my excellent results both in my IGCSE Examination and The International Baccalaureate Examinations. Furthermore, I have developed the teaching experience in my High School days as I had initiated the Academics Club in my school which was based on the ideology of helping students in the Queenstown Community of Singapore learn strategic studying tactics such that every minute of their studying is fruitful. I believe that the concepts in these subjects must be crystal clear so that any type of tricky problem can be tackled. Furthermore, I have unique ways in teach one concept so that every minute detail is paid attention to and the interactive and friendly environment that I always aim to establish allows me to relate to the conceptual issues that students face. Thus, by instilling motivation to work hard with the student and working with him throughout, I believe we can motivate him to work hard in the right direction.

I have been tutoring since 2014, so 7 years experience. I’ve taught English, E Math, A Math, Physics and Chem. they come from a variety of schools, from N level students to RI students. Results and improvement tend to vary according to how committed the student is, but when I see them through to O level exams they tend to get A1/A2. Prior to NUS Law, I studied at Maris Stella High School and Raffles Junior College. I have been giving private tuition for 7 years, in particular for English, E Math, A Math, Physics and Chemistry at secondary level. I specialise in Upper Secondary (Sec 3-5), with a keen focus on O-Level preparation. I have a proven track record, with ~80% of students scoring A1s and A2s for the subjects I tutored them in. My focus is on exam techniques and first principles, both of which are vital to scoring well at exams. I am a trained Gifted Education Pr0gramme (GEP) Mathematics Teacher whose school experiences includes * beginning GEP Maths teacher in the Chinese High School (2000-2006) * subject head, then HOD ICT in Raffles Institution(RI, 2007-2012) * Senior Teacher in Computing in the School of Science and Technology (SST, 2012 - 2018). Having taught students at different levels throughout my teaching career, I am well-versed with the Singapore Mathematics Curriculum from Primary to JC levels. I am patient and humorous, and is able to critically analyse students' weakness in Mathematics so as to provide the appropriate help and examples to lead them to understand the Mathematical concepts involved. Taught before 1 J1 H2 Chem student I believe that a strong foundation is important in every subject to understand the deeper logic better. As I just graduated from JC, I think I can teach better from perspective as a student for upper secondary and JC students. And thus, teach the concepts in a way the they will understand. I am a patient tutor who do not mind going through the same concepts but presenting them in different ways and see if the student can understand. But I do not like students that do not revise yet asking me the same question over and over again.
