I am a full time professional maths tutor who specialise in teaching A level H2 Maths and H2 Further Maths and IB HL Maths. I also teach the IP Maths and O level A Maths in upper secondary levels. I have more than 20 years of experience in teaching maths to secondary school and JC students, both on one to one and group tuition setting. I am able to explain complicated concepts and formula in maths clearly in a simple way so that students can understand easier. I focus on conceptual teaching and make sure students fully understand the theory and are able to apply those concepts to solve questions in tutorials and exam papers. Maths is a subject which require consistent practice and I provide topical revision exercises after a topic is taught. My students normally improve by 3 to 4 grades after 1 year of tuition under me. I had jc students who improve from U to A in just 3 months of lesson under me. But that is only possible if the student is willing to put in lots of hard work. I will also feedback to parents regularly and let them know their child progress.

I have previously tutored a Primary 3 student Maths and English. Her grades had jumped from a D to high B within 2 months of teaching. This was because I was able to identity her main issue which was careless mistakes in certain style of questions. So I created my own questions (similar to the ones she always makes careless mistakes in) and made her practice those as well. This approach helped her immensely. I also worked as full tutor in Pro-Teach, teaching students from P1 to P6, Maths, Science and English. I took classes of at 15 students, helping them with their homework and then going though the tuition center's assignments as well. As of now I am working as a trainer in High Achievers, training Secondary School students in their soft skills. I handle students from various streams and have maneuvered through various situations that the students through at me. I have handled training sessions as long as 8 hours for a class of 40 Sec 4 students.
