I’ve had experience teaching in Kumon, private home tutoring centers as well a preschool, I am currently a full-time preschool teacher and have taken on lower primary students as well- both local and international! Lessons are usually crafted with the child’s preferences and interests in mind, therefore, making sessions more fun and engaging! Preschool children I’ve taken on have significantly improved with phonics with the help of the hands-on approach implemented- lower primary students I’ve taken on have also improved significantly from the time I’ve taught. If not for their own hard work and partnership with the parents- this of course wouldn’t have been possible!

I have 3 years of tutoring experience from 2021 to present. I taught 2 in Primary 6 Math, 1 in Primary 4 Math and 1 in Secondary 4 Math. A previous student of mine finished O levels in 2022 with a grade improve of F9 to A2 in Additional Math after I started teaching her in Secondary 3 (2021). All my other students have also experienced an improvement in grades since I started teaching them. As for my teaching methodology, I will engage students by questioning them on each concept after teaching and asking them to redo certain questions they got wrong to see if they understand where they went wrong. If they still are unable to solve the problem, will explain in a different way to help them understand better. Will also come up with analogy to simplify the problem for students. If student is still unsure, will skip the question and come back to it later with new approach. Will also ask students to do timed practices and then go through with them frequently.
