Hi! I’m Keith, a final year student studying law at SMU. I'm currently one of the top students in my batch, and am about to graduate with First Class Honours in a few months. From next year I'll be working at one of Singapore's most prestigious international law firms. Since NS, I have been tutoring over 15 students from all academic backgrounds (both international/ local) with great success. My students all not only see improvements in their studies, but often go on to engage me to help them with different subjects. Below are some points on my pedagogical style: - I believe that both understanding and test-taking proficiency go in hand-in-hand to be developed via practices and thorough reviews - this has proved airtight for me and all my students. • I am also extremely flexible and open to adapting lessons on the spot to suit whatever queries/ areas of improvement my students present. I believe this mix of flexibility and rigour helps reap the best improvements! - I make sure to engage students as far as possible to maximise lesson productivity (via constant check-ins and questions, or assignments post-class). - I also keep parents updated with post-lesson reviews consistently so they can track my students progress! - Outside of lessons, I try to be as responsive as possible to any urgent queries too. I have been teaching math tuition for 4 years. I enjoy teaching, especially kids and teens, as I believe academic excellence is an important key for career success. My teaching style is blended learning - I explain concepts and do practice questions during tuition, and I give practice questions as homework to be discussed the following tuition. This way, the tuition is time-efficient and the student has continuous learning. I believe learning progress shall be continuous and hence, in addition to the regular in-person / online tuition, I also give free quick online consultations via WhatsApp chat / call or Zoom for urgent questions (subject to my availability). This flexibility is also the main reason that my rate may be higher than average. I also really love interacting with kids so I always aim to foster a fun learning experience. I graduated first-class honour with Dean List award from NTU Singapore with major in math and economics. In my 3rd and 4th year as undergraduate, I served as teaching associate (for 1st and 2nd year students) for Calculus and Algebra course with feedback score of 4.8/5. Upon graduation, I taught 4 private home tuitions for primary and JC school students.
