Currently, I am teaching IB Diploma Physics in ISS international school. I have been engaging in private tutoring of O level Physics/Math and A level/IB physics since 2011 at Serangoon Garden Secondary school. After graduating from NUS in 2015, I joined Furen International School and I am working as a full-time physics teacher. I was also working as a relief physics teacher at Serangoon Garden Secondary School from July to August in 2014. During the two months, I delivered physics classes for various stream (Express & Normal academic) and different levels, successfully took over the job of a full-time teacher on medical leave. I have also obtained the degree of Master of Education from NIE in 2020. I engaged and interacted with slow-paced students, ensuring every student in the classroom is learning with understanding. I also enforced the discipline of classroom by managing students' behavior, achieving a quiet and appropriate learning environment. Currently, I am also working as a full time physics teacher in an international school to conduct group/individual physics/math classes and at the same time, prepare worksheet & summary notes for all chapters. I long to strive for the best for all my students by helping the slower students to learn and at the same time, inspire the better ones to think beyond the exam syllabus. During the class, I try to forge a friendship with students to achieve a comfortable and interesting learning environment. I always try to deliver concepts with clarity and application in daily life.

I am passionate about teaching, and always find ways to teach and inspire students - be it my classmates, or the private students I teach. I am also good at interacting and communicating with different people I meet, and I love to brighten up people's day in little ways. I have picked up different skills as I have been in Students' Council Executive Committee for 2 years in my school, such as planning, executing, communicating, liaising with external vendors, public speaking etc. Beyond studies, I enjoy listening and playing music. Tutored a Primary 6 student taking PSLE. Have teaching experience for tutoring once a week for science and math. Student obtained A for both subjects in PSLE and improved from a low B. Tutored a secondary 2 student in mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics. Only tutored for approximately 2 months as the students grades improved and managed to balance her commitments to study better. Tutoring P5-6, S1-4 and JC1 students currently. Also teaching part-time at Mind Stretcher. My students typically improve by 1-2 grades within the first month, and get an A by the end of the year. My current students obtained A1 in physics and biology just after a month of lessons.

With over 10 years of experience in tutoring Mathematics from Primary 1 to Secondary 4, I have proven results in teaching students and improving grades from a pass grade to A. Local Indian I have been teaching English for the last 20 years. I’m currently teaching nursery and kindergarten kids for phonics, English and maths. I’m also guiding kids with special needs for early learning. I teach local and International and local students. I teach English to primary levels. I’m familiar with the MOE syllabus. I mainly focus on par with their school’s method of teaching and guide the student to achieve results. I will guide the student accordingly to their pace. I spent approximately 1 year tutoring secondary 3/4 students science and math at Tanglin Secondary School as part of my service learning project to help them prepare for their upcoming O level exams.
