- NTU Bachelor in Accountancy, graduated in May 2020 - First Class Honours, >4.9 cGPA - Scored A+ for AC1101 Accountancy and AB1201 Financial Management Doing well in Accounting I is important as it sets the base foundation for your accounting knowledge. The amount of content and complexity of higher levels of accounting modules increases materially, making it even more difficult to grasp the concepts and score without a good foundation. Having recently graduated with a Bachelors degree in Accountancy (First Class Honors), I am well placed to understand a university student's struggles when learning Accounting, and I will try my best to help you achieve similar academic success. I am most comfortable with teaching Accounting I (AC110x) and Financial Management (AB1201) modules, having scored A+ for both.

I took A level Chinese Translation and scored A. O level Higher chinese A1, Oral scored Distinction. In currently taking Translation Interpretation Minors in NUS, and got top student in some of my Modules. I have 5 years of part time teaching experience tutoring Chinese and Higher Chinese for primary school and secondary school students. I myself scored A* and Distinction for PSLE Chinese and Higher Chinese respectively, A1 and Distinction for O-level Higher Chinese and Oral. I have 8 students now, 2 siblings from CIS and HCIS, both getting level 7 (highest level) for Chinese. older brother from HCIS is grade 10 and younger sister from CIS is grade 8. Another girl in River Valley Primary (P5) improved from failing 8/40 for composition to 24/40 after only half a year of teaching her. I also taught a secondary school student Higher Chinese Oral and her grades improved from B4 to A2. She scored A1 for Chinese O levels and Distinction for oral. As I am familiar with the current syllabus, I am able to focus on the skills needed for composition, oral and comprehension in order to do well for Chinese. I know that it is difficult to make improvements in areas such as oral and composition, however I do have the necessary skills and experience to teach and help students improve in these areas. I am effectively bilingual and I’m a scholar under the MOE Bicultural Studies Programme. I am also learning translation as a subject in school thus I am able to communicate fluently and explain to students in English if necessary.

Currently, I am tutoring 16 students in Chinese, 13 of whom are in IB. My students have all shown improvement in Mandarin, with one of them being awarded "Most improved in Chinese", as well as another who went from failing the subject to now attaining 49/50 in her recent examinations. I was awarded the Independent school scholarship award reserved for the top 10% performing students of the cohort in 2019. In the IB diploma, due to my outstanding performance in Chinese, I managed to complete the 2-year syllabus within 1 year and attained the highest grade possible of 7 (Score was 96%). As someone who comes from a Chinese-speaking household but is English educated, I am fluent at speaking both languages and can easily translate for students who are unfamiliar with the language. As a theatre graduate from SOTA, I will also be able to help the student in Oral components with regards to expressive speaking in Mandarin. I am tutoring 7 students in English. In my own PSLE, I achieved an A* in English and As in the rest of the subjects. I was awarded the Independent school scholarship award reserved for the top 10% performing students of the cohort in 2019. I was awarded top student in literature 3 times in SOTA. I took IB SL language and literature and am familiar with the subject and expectations As an IBDP theatre graduate, I am very well versed in speech and oral skills. I scored an A in Theory of Knowledge and topped my cohort in the humanities (anthropology) thrice. I have also written my own scripts for performances that were staged by the school. I have scored full marks for my TOK oral presentation. I am well versed in the IB Langlit syllabus having graduated from the program. As a theatre graduate, and someone who will be studying at a University in London, I will also be able to help the student in Oral components with regards to expressive speaking.

I also focus on teaching the strategies and thought processes of approaching questions to make it simpler for my students to answer different types of questions. - I am able to provide materials such as notes and practice questions, and help to mark worksheets and give detailed comments. - I'm very willing to answer any questions via text outside of lesson time as well. Online tutoring: - I am open to having online lessons too - I have experience in online tutoring via Zoom since 1 year ago. For online lessons, I will send my students materials and documents required for the lesson beforehand, and request the student to send me their attempted work as well. I also use the whiteboard function to illustrate and explain concepts.

I have 7 years of experience tutoring, primary school and seconday school English, math and science. My students were from whitesands primary, st Stevens primary, hai sing secondary, ngee Ann secondary and ITE college east I tutored one student math and science from sec 1 to sec 4. His initial results were C and D for math and science. His results slowly improved and for his o level, he scored A1 emath, A2 amath, and B3 for physics and chem. Also tutored another china primary 5 school student English before, initial result was C and final result was B. I tutored a student mathematics, science and english from primary 5 until secondary 4 O-levels, including pure science and additional mathematics in upper secondary levels. My student scored and A1s for e-math and a-math, and b3 for science and english. I also have 6 months experience of relief teaching in my former school, Ngee Ann Secondary.
