I am currently teaching in a school at Yishun area. Previously taught in RI, RGS, ACS, Anderson, KCPSS Students from ACS , RI, SCGS, CGS, KCPSS, PHS, NUSH, NHH, HCI, VSS etc. I am an NIE-trained teacher, a PSC education scholar, with experiences teaching graduating and non-graduating classes of a range of student abilities: from Raffles Institution to Yishun Secondary School in MOE schools. I taught students of all abilities, ranging from high achievers from International Baccalaureate and Integrated-Programme schools to slower learners in Normal streams, using strategies for mindset coaching to motivate the students. I sought to understand students’ socioeconomic background, which are usually strong reasons for their academic performance and attitude, and mentored the students to overcome their difficulties at home. Students have achieved stellar results, with vast improvements from F9 to A within two examination timeframes. In this period, I guided and mentored four teachers at a time, some of whom are just starting their teaching career. During the COVID-19 period, I adapted the teaching to weekly sessions over Zoom, and answered questions over WhatsApp.

Hi, I am Sean Tham, from Hwa Chong Institution. I just graduated and completed my A levels recently. I was part of the Science Math Talent Programme in Secondary 3 and 4 as well as the Gifted And Talented Education programme in junior college and for my prelims, i was part of the top 25% in my school, with my math results being in the top 3%. Apart from being academically inclined, i also have a very jovial and fun personality which is bound to make tutoring sessions much more light-hearted and easygoing for the tutee. I believe in play hard, work hard as no child will be able to learn effectively under extremely stressful conditions so i hope i will be able to inject fun into my lessons while teaching tutees that certain topics are not as hard as they seem - we just need to pinpoint various patterns and question types in order to ace the exams. While i do not have any professional experience in tutoring, i believe that i will be able to push the tutee to reach greater goals and achieve stellar results as i have helped teach my peers who went from an E in Block Test to an A in Prelim for Chemistry. I have experience teaching pre school to Primary 2 levels for the past 3 years in a 1 to 1 settings in home-based and pre-school settings. I specialise in behaviour therapy but in my line of work, I work on academics as educational goals are also a part of my job, especially to prepare them for primary school and stabilising their standards after they enter P1. I have had between 3 to 4 years of experience teaching children and teenagers between the ages of 5-16 as a badminton coach. My job scope entailed the need to come up with various training programmes that cater to the specific age groups and levels so as to best help them improve. i am well versed with teaching groups, having conducted both private and group sessions, some of which amounted to 8 students. Consequently, I had to ensure that the students were engaged and made it a point that I instilled a passion for the sport whilst providing valuable advice. Furthermore, I have also had first-hand experience with the administrative duties off-court, such as the finding of locations and the scheduling of sessions. I believe that the skills needed are transferrable and will aid me in becoming a good tutor. I, too have had experience teaching and tutoring juniors as well as those at YWCA during my IB years. The subjects that I have taught along the years include English, Mathematics and Economics. I personally take pride in seeing the improvement made by my students and I find it gratifying. Outside of school, I am an ardent and confident individual who prides myself as an eloquent speaker who writes well; Beit conveying a message or providing a critique. I, too, enjoy reading and satiate my appetite by reading on various levels. Above all, I pride myself as a people's person, being able to work well with others and can affirm that I am a good communicator with my students. Having participated in various competitions both local and international represnting Singapore, I thrive under pressure and have come to understood the importance of a strong foundation and how a passion does not need to bring monetary value for it to hold its value. Above all, I am highly motivated to go far and beyond in endeavours I embark on and affirm that I will be able to contribute and help to improve the standards of my students whilst ensuring learning is enjoyable.

I'm currently a part-time tutor. I graduated from NUS in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and before that, from NUS High School of Mathematics and Science with a Distinction in 2016. I have experience in teaching Mathematics up to IB/A level, and Chinese up to secondary school level. One of my students taking IGCSE Chinese as third language whom I taught from 2022 to 2023 had his scores improved from F to A* over the course of his final year.

-Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science (First Class Honors) -Tutor for 7 years -In  2013, I taught a secondary 4 NA student Combined Chemistry for N levels. Under my guidance, her combined Chemistry improved from fail to A1 within just a few months. -In 2014, I taught a NA student from Bukit Panjang Govt High science. From sec 1 to sec 4, he has been getting top 5-10 in his whole cohort for his science exams. He gotten A1 for his N level Combined Phy/Chem in 2017. -In 2016, I taught an NA student combined Phy/chem. She improved from borderline for phy, and fail for chem, to A for both subjects in 1-2 months, and had gotten A2 for her N levels in 2016. -In 2016, I had also taught pure biology to a student and she had been maintaining her score at A1/2. -In 2016, I also took on Poly tuition assignments, teaching Biology and Chemistry, whereby the students improved their grades to A/B. -In 2017, I taught an NA student sec 2 Science  from Greenridge, and she had been getting A1s for her sec 2 science and also NA combined Phy/chem in sec 3 and 4. She gotten A1 for her NA Combined Phy/Chem N levels in 2019; Went on to O levels and gotten A2 in 2020. -In 2019, I started teaching an IP student from Hwa Chong Institution, science. He has been getting A1 for all his exams for the subject. In 2021, I taught him Sec 3 IP Pure Physics and Pure chem, and he has been maintaining his scores at A1. -In 2020, I started teaching a secondary school express student science, from Unity sec, during June. I taught this student previously during primary school for science and she gotten A for it during PSLE. She improved her science from A2 to A1 for her EOY exams. In 2021, I taught her sec 2 Express Science and she has been getting A1 for all her exams including EOY. She managed to get into Pure Science class (Pure Chem and Bio) -In 2021, I also taught another student from Unity Sec. I’d only taught her a few months just before her EOY, and she gotten A2 from her science, improving from B4. She also managed to get into Pure Science class (Pure Chem and Bio) -In 2021, I taught another student from Unity Sec, Sec 3 Pure Chem and Pure Bio. She managed to improved from fail for Pure Chem and just pass for Pure Bio, to A2 for Pure Bio and B3 for Pure Chem in her EOY exams
