I am a speech & language therapist. I work in SPD’s Continuing Therapy Programme, where I specialized in supporting children in mainstream schools who have weaker English language skills. I am fully-qualified speech and language therapist who has several years of experience supporting children with language and speech delays in mainstream and special schools. I am experienced in helping children to develop higher-order language skills, including strategies for reading comprehension, inferencing, composition-writing, social communication, and grammar. I work closely with families to identify learning needs and focus on building skills and capabilities in fun and engaging ways. I’m not working in an MOE school, but teaching students with language disorders/delays at a social service agency (SPD) - I specialize in teaching any children with learning disabilities like autism, dyslexia, speech and language delay, comprehension difficulties, difficulties with understanding, unclear speech, etc. I work with children with difficulties who are attending MOE mainstream schools who have difficulties coping with the mainstream curriculum, as well as children from special education schools who need help with learning how to speak and communicate with others.

Showed huge improvement in remembering words and writing Chinese characters. Knows how to form Han Yu Pin Yin and able to engage very well in conversations. For Math, he is able to work on problem solving without much guidance. - P2 Non-Chinese speaking student got full marks for Chinese test and spelling within 1 month - P6 Student who got D for Chinese in P6 beginning of the year managed to get a B in PSLE - K2 Australian, Non-Chinese speaking student able to form complete sentences within 2 weeks of teaching. Taught him phonics as well, able to use Han Yu Pin Yin appropriately and pronounced words very clearly. Achieved full marks in weekly spelling and engaged more during lessons.
