Taught student: Sec 1 to Sec 4 o level A and E math tuition (jumped from last 8 of cohort to top 10 in cohort) went to jc - pri 5 and 6 maths, science (failed grades to 70-80 in less than a year) - pri 4 and 5 english,maths,science Guidance: I may be paid for only math tuition but generally I am also concerned about overall grades. Thus, I will give free advice and review concerning the other subjects such as humanities, language, future schools, etc. I am a patient teacher and prefer teaching students starting out at weak performance. Students have to show homework/tests on first lesson. I will use a customised way of teaching and may include additional assessment books/ time trial/ intense corrections/ mental sums/ parental counselling/ motivation/ videos/IT to aid with diagrams and understanding. I also require parents to show some level of concern for the student and to be cooperative with me when I need the child to correct careless mistakes, attitude problems, laziness, etc. Tuition to one student is only once a week for 2 hours unless otherwise requested by parents for reasons such as exam week, etc.

I am an ex-educator with MOE. I just resiged from MOE in 2020 after 34 years of service. My last appointment was a senior education officer in a primary school overseeing the school's Maths, Science and Chinese Language programmes. I was previously the HOD for Maths. I graduated from NUS in 1985, obtained my Diploma in Education in 1986, and joined the education service since then until my resignation last year. I am able to privide home tuition in Maths and Chinese Language subjects both at primary and secondary levels. I am good at engaging young children and teenagers, customising lessons to meet their learning profiles and motivating them in their pursuit of academic excellence.

My students moved on to secondary schools including Anglican High School, St Nicholas Secondary School and Raffles Girls' School and continued to engage me as their Math tutor.
