I am a native Chinese ,immigrated to Australia in 2004 , then relocated to Singapore with my family in 2013 till now . I was a Financial controller in an international corporation from 2014 to 2018, but shifted to full time math tutor role since 2019 started in MPM math tuition Center. I am a fulltime private tutor now , most of my students in Bishan and AMK areas, studying in Townsville primary school and Catholic high primary school. One of my students in Primary two . He used to have competent and developing in Math in the first semester in Primary two . But now he has all accomplished in Mathematics. I am his math tutor, teaching him 1.5 hours a week , but I would help his Chinese when he has questions since I am able to speak and write Chinese fluently.

She is from Jurong West Primary School. She also got an MOE Edusave Good Progress Award.

I am tutoring P1, P4 students now. I was teaching assistant to teach so many primary students before. I teach kids to get high scores, tackle syllabus and achieve the targets from school. The syllabus focus on Write, Read, Listen and Speak. So, my teaching methods are 1 Use “Cheng Yu” in composition. 2 “Ping Yin” start from basic correctly. 3. Comprehension, find keywords and tackle questions in short times. 4 Build up Chinese common words , around 4000. I am a Master of Art( Major in Chinese Literature, Language and Culture). I have Certificate of Proficiency Putonghua. I get Grade A in Chinese History of A-Level. Grad B in Chinese Language and Culture (Cultural Issues and Reading Programme) of AS Level. *Candidates who pass the test are given a Certificate of Putonghua Proficiency. The Putonghua Proficiency Test or Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) is an official test of spoken fluency in Standard Chinese (Mandarin) intended for native speakers of Chinese languages. The test was developed in October 1994 by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, the Institute of Applied Linguistics at Beijing Language and Culture University and the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television. Specified standards of achievement in the test are required for many jobs in broadcasting, education and government.

This is my 3rd year tutoring students. I specialise in Primary and secondary school math and English. I am a dedicated teach her who looks to grow the student’s interest in the subject. How I do so is by simplifying each type of questions into 4-5 steps for math which the students can easily re-apply. I make my own worksheets which addresses the basics of students and then the different difficulty levels. I usually start of by adhering to my student’s style of learning as I understand that not all students learn the same but by the end of my lessons they are usually tuned into my style of teaching. I teach my students to self-learn and strive towards getting their answers perfect. Most of my students usually come to me with failing grades or sub-par results and my 4 steps method has proven to work easily as my student in Secondary 1 improved her grades from failing during mid years to an A. For math its all about confidence and I believe with ample practises the confidence comes easily and that’s what my worksheets are for.
