I am an Msc Mathematics student with 5 years of experience in tutoring secondary to undergraduate students in mathematics, economics, physics and English. I started volunteering to teach mathematics at afternoon schools for underprivileged kids when I was in high school and fell in love with teaching. I enjoy studying my subjects and thus enjoy teaching them further. I believe in explaining basic concepts of these intuitive subjects to build interest and confidence in the subject. While I recognise the importance of academic excellence, I do not teach only for homeworks /tests. I believe subjects of mathematics/economics/physics/English are foundation builders for further studies and life skills and hence focus on long term growth of my students.

Schools of my students include: Pasir Ris Crest Secondary, Dunman Secondary, Springfield Secondary, Meridian Secondary, Punggol Secondary. Most of them at least received a B3 in their National Exams, where some even got As as well. Most them have been failing beforehand around D7-E8. One of them even improved from a U in sec3 Mid year to A2 in O levels in Amaths. I mostly use my student's textbooks and TYS to go through basic concepts and for practice questions. When exams are nearing, i'll provide my students with my own summary sheet of the topics tested together with past years schools papers. If necessary, extra assessment books can be purchased.
