After graduating from secondary school, I tutor one of my peers with his N'level mathematics and improve his grade from a D7 to A1. -I taught GCE O-Levels A-Maths for 5 months. The tutee was preparing for Polytechnic Engineering and requires A-Maths knowledge for Engineering Maths. She had very weak basis and I went through concepts thoroughly. To make sure she master the concepts, I gave her questions from practise books and past year papers to try every time I finish a small concept. Then I would give her application questions to enhance her understanding. As for revision, I would give her notes catered to her weaknesses, including step-by-step workings. - I also taught another tutee who is an IGCSE Grade 10 student. She needs help in Extended Maths topic and her exams are due in 3 months. She had a solid foundation but found difficulty in applying it to exam questions. I analysed exam-style questions with her and gave her tips and tricks on how to break down each question. Since she was weak on some topics, I compiled questions to enforce her understanding. She improved greatly, in terms of foundation, speed and accuracy. She was now able to read and solve questions with ease, applying concepts to the questions accurately.
