I have gotten As and distinctions in my exams and am currently pursuing medicine. As such, maths and science are definitely my strong subjects. Not only that, I have also always been the TOP scorer for my mother tongue, Tamil, all my school life. I have been tutoring others for 3 years now. My latest achievement would be my current sec 1 NA tuition student. She not only improved unbelievably from an F9 to A1, she topped her entire cohort with just a month of tuition with me. She has also improved from a C6 to A1 in science within the same period of just a month. My PSLE students have improved at least by 2 grades under my training. My PSLE maths, science and English students achieved A and A star in PSLE. My tamil students have all gotten A star and distinction for higher tamil as well. My lower sec students have done exceptionally well and improved by at least 3-4 grades in less than 4 months. I have taught preschool and lower primary as well. My preschool students have received great appreciation from teacher and I have helped them get a head start to primary school. My PSLE students have improved by at least 2 grades under my training. My PSLE maths, science and English students achieved A and A star in PSLE. My tamil students have all gotten A star and distinction for higher tamil as well. My lower sec students have done exceptionally well and improved by at least 3-4 grades in less than 4 months. I have taught preschool and lower primary as well. I have experience in both 1-1 private tutoring and in group tuition under a tuition centre. I have also worked under SINDA’s LYNN program for K1 and K2 students as a teacher assistant. I would like to use my knowledge and help others do well in school and to achiever better grades with deeper understanding.

Over the past 3.5 years as a part-time tutor, I've had the opportunity to work with students facing learning difficulties, particularly in Math and Chinese. One notable method I've employed is encouraging a P5 Math student, who struggles with forgetfulness, to journal the key takeaways after each lesson. This practice has helped reinforce critical concepts and improve retention. While this method may work for one individual, it is not a one size fits all approach especially with younger students. Hence, I often use different methods to figure out the best learning style to fit my student learning behaviour. I highly believe my experiences have highlighted the value of patience, persistence, and positive reinforcement in fostering academic success.

Student B (Combined Humanities) Duration: Aug 2020 to June 2021 The student went from an E8 in his Secondary 3 mid-year examinations to a B3 in his mid-year preliminary examinations.
