In my Secondary School and Junior College days, I have been a consistent top scorer in Mathematics, Chinese and Higher Chinese. My mastery was demonstrated through multiple “A” cum “A1”s in GCSE A-Level Mathematics and GCSE O-Level Mathematics and Additional Mathematics, Chinese and Higher Chinese. Equipped with advanced training in Mathematics and Chinese, I have represented my schools in prestigious Mathematics and Chinese competitions on the inter-school stage. These competitions include, but are not limited to, the Mathematics Challenge organized by Ngee Ann Polytechnic (2017), as well as the ICAS Mathematics Competition in (2013, 2014, 2016). The Chinese competitions, such as the Reading Superstar Competition (2015) and Author-in-Residence Programme in (2015), have endowed me with a high calibre of reading and writing skills in the Chinese Language domain. Furthermore, other than having a strong sensitivity to the student's needs, I am also a patient and caring tutor. As such, I am certain that I will be able to cater to the student's needs to the best of my ability. Tutoring method: I would quickly identify students' weaknesses and work on them. I also teach them ticks and tricks to score in exams. At the same time, I would ensure they enjoy what they are learning so they will always be motivated to learn more about the subjects. With correct guidance and motivation, the students' grades will improve significantly.

I’m a strict tutor who doesn’t like to spoon feed students with knowledge. I like to make sure that my students understand each concept well before moving on to the next chapter. Taught Chemistry as a full time teacher for 3 years and 3 months at Mathvision Enrichment Centre for Grade 9-12 students, across a variety of syllabuses. This includes: IB Chemistry (SL and HL), IGCSE Co-science Chemistry, IGCSE Edexcel Chemistry and IGCSE Pure Chemistry. I will explain the concepts to my students patiently by handwriting out notes neatly with different colors. Depending on the concept taught, supplementary notes, handouts and diagrams will also be printed to aid the student's understanding. I will rephrase my words/sentences or give different types of analogies with diagrams to ensure that the student is able to understand the concept. Questions will also be solved together with students to show them how to apply whatever they have learnt. Able to deliver content to the student clearly to ensure that the student gets the most out of the session. Patient, caring and responsible tutor who is willing to communicate with parents on a constant basis to ensure that the student improves. Responsive to answering messages promptly if students have any doubts outside of tutoring hours.
