I taught home tuition for two years, giving tuition to two students: one from Victoria Junior College and the other from Ngee Ann Secondary School. My secondary three student, who had retained in the year prior, made great improvements in his Mathematics and Combined Science score for his SA2 examinations and was promoted to secondary four. My junior college student achieved a pass in H1 Mathematics from a U grade in her mid-year examinations. I also worked at Pathlight School as a Teacher in English and Science for five months and I gained experience in teaching students with special needs. After my time at Pathlight School, I taught English to a student from ASPN (Tanglin) for five months and he subsequently achieved a pass in his exams. Besides my experience in teaching, I have excelled academically in school where I was awarded the A*Star Science Award (Secondary), MOE Pre-University Scholarship and the ST Engineering Scholarship. At the University of Cambridge, I obtained First Class Honours in my law degree.

Special Skills - Integrated Programme

I was been under the Dunman High Integrated Programme and I studied H2 History, Math, Economics, and H1 Geography. I truly believe in teaching to help students find their passion for learning and I have taught 3 primary school students and 2 secondary school students thus far. For Geography, I'll present students with personally crafted notes that cover content and answering techniques. Notes for content are meant to help students improve their conceptual understanding, while notes for answering techniques are to train them to know how to tackle different question types for GI, DRQ, and Essays respectively. I'll go through these with them during lesson so that they can raise questions to clarify any doubts. Following which I get them to do practices which I will mark. I'll also take the time to brainstorm some points for answers with them prior if needed. Lessons will take on a discussion based approach where students can explain their answers and I correct them along the way. Apart from that, I will also mark and provide answers/advice to any additional practices students do. I'm also open to answering any questions students may have outside of lesson time. I will also monitor their progress and can keep their parents updated, while providing tailored lesson plans which can suit the student's pace of learning. Track Record 1) 2023: 2 O Level Geography students; both obtained A2 for O Levels 2) 2024: 1 Secondary 2 IP History/Geography student; improved from C to A for Geography, D to B for History 3) 2024: 2 O Level Geography students; obtained A2 and B3 for O Levels 4) 2025: 1 Secondary 3 IP Geography student; obtained A for Y3 Overall with consistent As throughout the year 5) 2025: 1 Secondary 4 Combined Geography student; obtained A1 I have taught English, Math, Science for primary 4, 5, and 6. I have also taught secondary 1 English and History, and secondary 2 Math and Science. I have also taught 2 O lvl students for combined Geo/SS. Under my tutelage, students have improved by minimally 2 grades, often from D to B or C to A. The 2 students for O level geography and social studies scored A2. When it comes to tutoring, I usually provide my own material for students such as consolidated notes so that they can better grasp the concepts. I will then run through practices with them, providing with either sample outlines for humanities or an error sheet with their common mistakes for math and sciences so that they can better learn from their mistakes and improve.

I taught afew secondary 2 and 3 students in English and helped them jump 2-3 grades in just afew months. I have always been good in English in secondary school so i am aware of the techniques to ace in this subject. A major result jump that a student of mine had was from C6 to A2 in just 4 months. I also taught some primary students math and their grades jumped from 5 to 3 in 6 months.
