I have never officially tutored in Singapore, but I tutor my two little brothers. One is a secondary 3 student, while the other is an incoming P1 student. I am an accountancy graduate from SMU with high merit, and I have taken the SAT as an entrance exam SMU. I would do best to tutor kids who aspire to study overseas and take the SATs, or non-Chinese kids who have recently moved to Singapore and are struggling to keep up with the education system.

I love teaching and I hope to get the chance to show this to you. I specialise in crash course lessons as I impart the ability to learn and understand rather than drilling students to the point where they start to question their abilities. Confidence is key because it can drive students further than they ever thought they could. I am able to do online lessons as well as F2F lessons. I have developed my own teaching style as I was fortunate enough to have had amazing teachers that have ignited a passion in me to teach. I follow their teaching style where we develop our own materials aside from what is provided as we understand what is really required to obtain proper understanding of what is being taught. However, I have the liberty of tailoring the materials to suit each and every student as I am not teaching a large class; making this method even more effective. The student required a crash course in Math for his N level paper. He was scoring Ds and in after my lessons he managed to get B for his Prelim paper. I did not continue teaching him because what I taught him was sufficient enough. It was a student that had entered poly but had no knowledge in Additional Math or JC Math but required some theory from both as his course was a Game Design course. He was in the Normal Acad stream and went to ITE before entering Poly through PFP. He had zero confidence in his math skills and was very worried that he would lag behind. In 2 months, we managed to get his first ever PASS in math. By August he was getting Bs for his tests I additionally have: 2 years of teaching English in Spain 1 year of teaching English, Math and Science at a tuition centre

I have taught English (Grammar, S&T etc…) , Creative Writing and Oral for the elementary level at a prestigious enrichment centre called “Writers @ Work Enrichment Centre.” Coming from a phonics background, teaching English has always been a passion of mine. My students come from different backgrounds academically , ranging from ages 4 to 12 years old ( Kindergarten - Primary 6). My lessons are engaging and hands-on, even with doing classes online. My classes would always have a revision test (topic that was done the previous week) before starting the lesson of the day.

Majoring in Geography in NUS 3 years experience teaching Upper Secondary School Geography N Level student (Ngee Ann Sec) A2 for N Levels to A1 for O Levels Pure Geography I have taught 4 students Upper Secondary school Geog and all have scored minimum A2 for all written tests. I have 2 years of experience peer tutoring my schoolmates in JC from 2020-2021. I tutored them in H1 General Paper and H2 Geography, which led to an improvement in grades across all students. I have 6 years experience of tutoring mostly primary school children (in math and science), where most of my students are primary 2-6. I also have tutored secondary 1 and 2 students in Normal Academic Stream. I am currently tutoring a primary 6 foundation student meaning I am able to tutor students who are currently doing foundation subjects. After giving tuition, my students are able to improve their grades and obtain minimally 70-75%. I believe that the students are the ones who can hone their own abilities where their commitment and dedication towards school work can improve their grades. I am comfortable tutoring students who may have learning difficulties or who are failing their subjects. My methods of teaching would be to drill using past year exam papers and other school papers along with some topical assessment books if necessary. I am also open towards giving tuition online if there needs to be a sense of safety. I am also open to feedback if there needs to be any changes or improvements which can enhance the well-being of my students
