I have a year of experience teaching a Secondary 1 student whose grades improved during this time. I also have had experience tutoring a Primary 6 student. In secondary school, I took triple science, double math (A/EMath), pure history, and elective Lit/SS. Having taken my Os recently, I have experience with what examiners are looking out for, and am able to guide students towards it. Currently, I am taking the IBDP diploma with the subjects, HL History, Literature, Economics, and SL Chemistry, Math, Chinese under MOE humanities scholarship program.

I have been tutoring for 2 years. I am currently an undergraduate student studying medicine at NUS, and took the IP programme and IBDP at SJI. I have been teaching students at IP secondary 3 & 4 levels, as well as IB year 1 and 2 for the subjects of Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. My students include a sec 3 student who was initially struggling with year 3 mathematics, and after a year of tutoring her grades rose by 20% despite her challenging and hectic curriculum at SOTA. Another math student who was already doing rather well before I began working with him was able to improve his score from the high 80s to high 90s; he was also able to learn the more advanced IB syllabus (as he was going from Y4 IP to Y1 IB), while always being ahead of his class in terms of topics which his teacher was covering. I would consider my tutoring style one that is rather flexible, able to adapt to students who may need help mastering the basics of a topic, while also helping students who have a good foundation and are looking to take their understanding of a subject to a higher level with more challenging questions. I usually go at a pace which is tailored to each individual student, one which will help them go at a sustainable pace with sustained improvement, and am very committed to ensuring my students understand the concepts which I hope to teach, and I do not mind extending our lessons to achieve that purpose. Finally I hope to also impart to my students the value of hardwork and perseverence, and that with the right guidance and shift in mindset, one can become a better learner.

I endeavour to inspire students to work hard for their betterment, regardless of past results, using real world grounding techniques to ensure that principles are accurately assimilated. I have 7 years of experience teaching Physics up to H2 level, Math (pure math, statistics and mechanics) up to H3 level, IB Maths, and also Olympiad Math up to lower secondary level. My last IB student took Math HL who was from UWCSEA got a 7 for the IB exams I am willing to explain repeatedly in case of poor memory on the part of the student is as varied of ways as can be thought of until the student understands the difficult material. I have had stellar results, with students going from D to A grades in their A Level exams, as well as students who qualified for the national training camp in preparation for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). For Olympiad Mathematics (Competition Oriented), I taught mainly Primary and Lower Secondary levels. - Managed a team of 3 teachers to teach Olympiad math as an extracurricular activity in schools, including timetable coordination, payroll, syllabus calibration, and guiding them on teaching methods - Achieved excellent results in Primary with SJK(C) Tun Tan Cheng Lock & SK Taman Bukit Maluri achieving top results in PMONK, KMC, MIMO, AMC, IMC, SASMO, IMAS - Achieved stellar results in Lower Secondary with SMK(L) Methodist coming out champion in the individual category of OMK and team champions in Hua Lo Geng for 2 years in a row - Taught general education students as well as individuals with exceptional learning capabilities within a classroom setting, with classes of up to 35 students
