Hello there! I have a total of two years of teaching experience as a special education teacher and a private group tutor. I have seen and worked with all kinds of students. I have three years of experience teaching for Secondary School and Junior College. I am also open to teaching Primary School subjects. Having received straight As for both my Secondary School and Junior College national examinations, I hope to pass down my learning techniques to present students. Specifically, I am able to tutor O Level Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, History, Literature and English; or Junior College A Level Physics, Economics or General Paper. I’m an NUS graduate, and I am currently teaching tuition full time. I taught a University level module (~20 students per class, 4 classes) from 2019-2020, and I am teaching 1 Sec2 Math student, as well as 4 Math classes in a tuition centre (2x P4, 2x P5). I also teach General Paper in NJC. My Primary School Math students have improved from AL4-6 to AL1-3 in their mid year exams, and my Sec2 Math student improved from a fail last year to a consistent A this year. In total, I have been teaching for 4 years. I typically plan lessons according to the school's syllabus, and provide some notes of my own along the way, depending on the student's progress. I'm a hands-on tutor, which means the student will learn largely through practice questions and assignment books. I'm a very patient person in general, and I have a passion for teaching. I don't just focus on how to score well in examinations, but also on how to become a more efficient learner. I constantly check in on my students, and I'm usually available to answer any questions they might have, even outside of lesson timings.
