I graduated from NUS with a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) in 2012. Recently in 2020, I graduated with a Master of Science (Mechanical Engineering) from NUS with a PEB Gold Medal (Awarded to the top student of the cohort) as my part-time studies . I had worked in the Air Force for 10 years before transitioning to a Technical Support Engineer role in a private company. While I do not have any official teaching or tutoring experience, I believe my credentials will prove that I have the right fundamentals in academic subjects (Math and Physics). I am also a patient in nature, and would strive to strengthen the critical concepts in the students.

This is because I strongly feel that in a child's education, both parties have to be equally involved and interested. While I will communicate mainly with the tutee, updates will be given to the parents as well. It is always a two-way communication process when I am the tutor, as I customize every lesson to the tutee's learning curve. My patience and outgoing demeanour are my strengths, and I used them to gain the tutee's trust, and her parents', and as a team we worked towards helping the tutee understand her concepts, and increase the quality of practice she does. On top of my personality, pursuing Biology further in the National University of Singapore has allowed me to continue and in-depth understanding of various processes that I learnt in Secondary school and Junior College. Should the student ask me higher-order questions, I will try my best to explain to them with the knowledge gained in university. I am not out of touch with Chemistry or Mathematics either, as NUS' approach of education is well-rounded and cross-disciplines.

Hi there! I am an undergraduate in NUS studying economics and psychology. I provide math tuition for primary/secondary level, with 2 years of teaching experience. My track record includes providing guidance to one of my tutees who improved from constantly failing in primary 6 to achieving a B for PSLE in just 6 months. I am currently teaching another student who has improved her grades by 20% in Secondary 3. I have experience in both face to face and online math tuition using zoom and my ipad to increase the engagement for my tutees. I also make notes for each topic for my students and give them weekly practices from assessment books I currate.

I am a year 4 NUS Geography, Sociology, and Business student and am patient and dedicated to teaching my students and will draft notes and find practice papers for them. I do have experience with primary and secondary school children as I have been teaching tuition for 7 years. The Salvation Army for a year, Care Singapore to mentor Children at Risk and private tuition.
 I have taught lower and upper primary English, Mathematics, and Science for about 5 years where students have scored an average of a high B. A student I taught at upper primary level for English, Mathematics, and Science did well for his PSLE and is currently studying in Catholic High. Another student I tutored for A-Level Geography and Art scored a B and A respectively.  Last year, I taught English and Geography to 2 Secondary 2 students last year from SIT and MGS where both scored As for their final examinations. I also tutored O Level English, Social Studies, and Geography last year where both students jumped about 3 grades for their prelims and are awaiting their O Level results. Currently, I am teaching 3 students in Primary School English and Science, 1 Student for O Level English, Social Studies, and Geography, 1 Student for H2 Art (Study of Visual Arts) privately and at a tuition center. The students I am currently teaching at primary school level all have an average grade of B with 2 of them scoring 90/100 for their recent Mid-Year Examinations. The other students have jumped at least 1 to 2 grades in their recent Mid-Year Examinations as well.

I have about 7 months of tutoring experience with helping primary school students with their homework at a student care centre as a student care coach. Although the main job scope was to take care of the children, I get asked for a lot of help with their homework & my students have found the way I teach very helpful as I am able to come up with various different explanations for a concept/topic if they did not understand the textbook definition. I have moved on to become a part-time enrichment teacher for Math & English at Eye Level Learning center. However, I have found the lesson flow to be too rigid & the curriculum is not flexible enough to allow students to learn with their own methods of learning. As I am now pursuing my degree at Singapore University of Social Sciences, I would like to take up tutoring on the side as it is my interest & to pay off my university tuition fees.
