I have been tutoring for 3 years, specialising in both science and math for secondary and junior college level students. I am interested in working with each student in a personalised way, with specially and personally curated notes and practice materials. I am also happy to accommodate any request(s) the student may have. Currently, I am tutoring secondary school and junior college level students. With my teaching, many of my students have seen a significant improvement in their grades and confidence in the subjects, many eventually obtaining distinctions in their examinations. With that being said, as a tutor, I am dedicated in providing 2 main services. Firstly, I will consistently provide beneficial learning resources for the students during lesson. I provide lessons physically, as well as virtually. Regardless, the student will have full access to all materials available. Secondly, I provide ‘off-hours’ help to students. This means that students can send in queries on schoolwork, extra work that they have done, or just general enquires outside of tuition hours. Hi! it is through many events that inspired me to teach and give back to the society. one of the more significant ones was the time I was hired as a temporary express math tutor for my little cousin, who was matriculating into secondary school, and he wasn’t sure of what to expect. i hence taught him the first half of the sec 1 syllabus, and came up with worksheets that suited his learning style, to encourage him to learn, and prepare better for his secondary school life. I learned that I really have the upper hand in teaching as students enjoyed attending my lessons, and were willing to complete the tasks that I task them to do. As teaching is something that I would say is fun for me, I would like to not just create fun filled experience for myself, but for all the other students out there who requires help from me :).
