Experience
I transitioned from teaching in well-known local centres such as MindChamps to offering private tuition, in order to provide an even higher level of personalised support for each child.
My students — some of whom went from failing their English exams to scoring As and Bs — now count English amongst their strongest and favourite subjects.
I specialise in making online lessons multi-sensory, interactive and effective. I introduce and reinforce concepts through inductive learning, memorable activities, and each child's interests and hobbies. Following that initial foundation building, I guide each student through intensive and targeted exam practice based on marking criteria.
I proactively adapt to each child's ability level. My training at the Dyslexia Academy of Singapore (DAS) has equipped me with specialist literacy strategies to make major improvements in struggling students' grades.
Having been enrolled in the Gifted Programme at Raffles Girls' Primary School, as well as the Integrated Programme at Raffles Girls' Secondary School, and Raffles Institution (Junior College), I am also eager to help stronger students expand the limits of their potential.
I very much enjoy communicating with and working alongside parents and students! Ultimately, I aim for every one of my students to achieve a score that reflects their fullest potential and opens doors for them.

Additional subjects taught:
1) I have taught students diagnosed with autism, ADHD and dyslexia. I utilise personalised methods and materials based on each child's interests, as well as research-based strategies such as the Orton-Gillingham Approach.
I possess a Specialist Diploma in Learning Support for Specific Learning Differences from the Dyslexia Academy of Singapore (DAS) in July. My Diploma specialisations include Dyslexia and Literacy Teaching, as well as Educational Psychology.
2) I was an MOE EESIS Scholar and Direct School Admission candidate. Furthermore, I have fond memories of participating in and being published under selective programmes such as the MOE-NUS Creative Arts Programme (CAP) Mentorship, MOE-NUS Humanities and Social Sciences Research Programme (HSSRP), Raffles Academy Literature Programme, and Philosophy Enrichment Programme. I am happy to offer personal guidance to students seeking to gain entry to these competitive schemes.
3) I personally achieved an IELTS score of 9.5/10 when I was a student, and have helped many students achieve comparable scores.
I also have ample international experience from taking time off my law studies to hone my skills as a full-time tutor within the UK.
