Have been teaching 1-1 mathematics when I was a student back in junior college. The students that I have taught have improve significantly. I am teaching a total of 5 students privately (ages between 7-16 years old), teaching them mathematics, combined science and combined humanities, and of them have show improvement after one month of teaching. I will provide all the notes needed. I am also a teacher at Speech Academy Asia for 9 months now as a mathematics and public speaking teacher. I have been trained by the senior trainers in Speech Academy Asia.

I have 3 years of experience giving private tuition to upper secondary students and jc students. My pedagogy for teaching is to explain difficult concepts by using relatable analogies for students to understand. I have had much experience teaching weaker students who’ve come from failing grades, and I’ve taken a patient, yet stern approach when it comes to helping them achieve the grades they want. Aside from that, I strongly believe that what’s most important in this education journey is not what grades the student achieve, albeit important, but instead that they put in their best effort. My students have went from a failing grade to an A2 grade for their national exam. One testimony would be a student I had in the year of 2021. She was taking her O levels that year and had approached around May, with an F grade (39%) for her pure chemistry. With my help and her immense hard work, she eventually managed to achieve a B3 (68%) for her prelims, and an A1 for her O levels. I absolutely love teaching, and to me, it has always been about finding a way to give back to the society. I am an extremely devoted tutor who compiles and creates all of his notes and question packs. I will strive to give my students my 200% and to show them that achieving the grades they want is never impossible. - I have taught 3 students taking H2 Chemistry over the past 3 years. - Their grades saw an improvement from a S to a C-B in prelims - I am currently teaching 2 students taking H2 chemistry, they will take their A levels in the year of 2024 - I have also taught 3 students taking O level Pure and Combined chemistry, they took their O levels in the year 2021 and 2022 - Their grades saw an improvement from an F9 and E8 to a B3 for both in their preliminary and finally O level exams. The student taking O levels in 2022 went from C6 to B3 in prelims. - I scored an A for A level chemistry and A1 for O level pure chemistry - I scored a consistent B for JC chemistry - I scored minimally a A2 consistently for O level chemistry - I have 3 years of experience tutoring weaker students who require extra attention - I offer access to notes and questions compiled by myself from various different sources and past year papers - I also offer extra consultation for free should the student require it at a timing that is convenient for both of us

I am very patient and willing to go the extra mile. I am avaliable anytime through Whatsapp and have flexible schedule should there be any changes. Currently a undergrad at NUS computer science, I hope to use my free time to tutor others. I believe in "practice makes perfect". I will build a strong foundation by going through concepts and clarifying misunderstandings so students will not be confused. After the foundation is build, I will go through past year papers and assessment books to identify common questions and things to look out for so the student will have plenty of experience before the exam. I have done volunteer tutoring at West Grove Primary where I teach students after class. Of the 20 foundation students I taught, all of them improved from a fail to at least a pass. I am able to tailor my lessons to the student's learning ability. I also have PYP papers and practice questions for students to try. As a late bloomer student myself, I understand the difficulties in trying to grasp abstract content knowledge from a student's perspective. I will be able to simplify the syllabus a student needs to know to help them learn and score better. I will also provide good tricks for studying and how to do well not only in the subject I teach but how to ACE exams overall. I hope to instil confidence in students and push them to be better beyond studying content. I can also provide advice on admissions and educational paths as a student mentor.

2021 - PSLE student. Taught Math and Science. Student achieved AL1 and 2 respectively for the subject. I am Teaching method - I teach students to be proactive in their approach to a subject. To do this, I emphasise less on blind practice and/or memorisation and more on understanding of concepts through visualisation, simple analogies, bite-sized piece information, understanding the bigger picture, and application of concepts in various situations. My teaching principle is that less is more ie one does not have to tax him/herself with too many practices but rather establishing his/her basics and building up from there. That way, he/she could tackle questions with varying difficulties actively instead of passively.
