I was born in China but grew up in Australia so am a native speaker in both languages. Teaching children is one of my passions because I love to see the progress they make over time. I try my best to cater to the needs of each student and enjoy exploring new engaging ways of teaching. My teaching experience varies and much of it involves tutoring Chinese as a second language to young people who are Non-Chinese: - Tutored Chinese as a second language to a Thai teenager (half a year, Australia) - Assistant teacher to a P2 class in a weekend Chinese school (1 year, Australia) - Taught English as a second language to young adults from East Asia (2 years, Australia) - Taught Chinese as a second language in a Secondary school as a Student Teacher (2 months, Australia) - Tutored P3-4 Maths and Chinese to Indonesian girls (1 year, Singapore) - Tutored P3-4 Chinese to Indonesian boy (2 years, Singapore) - Tutored Chinese as a second language to a Japanese teenager (1 year, Singapore) After giving Chinese tuition to a P3/4 Indonesian boy who had zero knowledge of Chinese, he was able to read and understand a good portion of the Chinese textbook.

20 years teaching experience in E and A math, Physics for 'O' and 'N' level. Besides, I have also given tuition to JC H2 math, Polytechnic' Engineering math and electronics subjects. My students are from SP, TP, NYP and Ngee Ann Over the years of teaching, students under my coaching had greatly improved from failing to pass, some even had achieved grade A in the final year examination.

I taught for about 3 months at a tuition centre for higher secondary grades. I have also taught for about a year as part of a volunteering program. I helped students with understanding the concepts, revising concepts taught in school and even helping them prepare for exams. Usually, I would start my lesson with a short recap from the previous lesson and then move on with the concepts. During lessons, I try and push students to think by asking them questions and encouraging them to solve questions without seeking my help. To allow for a more enriching learning experience, I try and test them orally also to help with their accuracy and speed. I end the lesson with a short recap of the whole lesson taught and some questions as homework. Based on feedback received by students, I received a 95% rating overall.

I have 2 years of tutoring experience as a part time tutor. I teach Eng Math Science - any primary levels. Tamil - Primary 1-3 There was only improvements in the students that i took on! One of the students was even an slow learning student and with patience and practise despite struggling, she was able to show improvements and even pass her exams.

I have six years of experience tutoring students from various academic levels and backgrounds, from National Service till university graduation. I teach Mathematics and Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) from upper primary level to 'O'/'N' levels, with the majority of my students starting from Sec 2 and Sec 3. I personalize my teaching style for each student based on what suits them best so that I can optimize the limited time available for tutoring, and I have a track record of reasonable improvement in grades for all of my previous students. One particular student had only started tuition with me on the April of her 'O' level year, and within the course of the remaining months, her grades for Combined Science (Phy/Chem) improved from a failing grade to B3. I have been on a hiatus from tutoring after graduating from university to focus on full-time work in my field of experience. Having settled into work, I am looking to tutor students as a passion of mine. I am looking to tutor for IB students as well after my experience working in the field of Engineering, with more confidence in my knowledge of Maths and Physics at a higher level. Prefer to tutor in-person but I am also available for online tutoring.
