Hi! I do not have much experience in tutoring but here are some of my teaching styles! 1. Focus on areas that are parents' priorities/concerns & students' weaknesses 2. To prioritise primary learning materials given by school/parents, before moving on to secondary materials (assessment books etc.) so as to supplement school's learnings 3. Assignments & objectives to follow PSLE's syllabus (guide given by seab) 4. To curate learning & teaching styles according to needs identified, such as using visualisation tools of graphs/models for visual learners' easy understanding 5. To understand students' concerns/motivation towards learning Math so as to better engage them, and whether through a stern or friendly attitude Some things about myself : I am currently an undergrad in NUS Business Administration. I will be teaching p4 math and p5 english at a tuition centre. I am able to break down the questions into small parts, allowing them to gain a better understanding of what the question is asking for. They were able to understand the concepts more easily and I also helped to clarify any misconceptions that they have. I also possess excellent communication skills and am patient when working with others. I am confident that I am able to improve the student's grades. I have participated in Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) and Singapore Mathematical Olympiad (SMO) in 2016, 2017 and 2018. I received the bronze award for SASMO in 2016 and 2017. I received the edusave scholarship award in 2016 and 2017, edusave merit bursary award in 2018 and 2020. I also received the commendation award for the science stream for my 2020 JC1 Promo exams and 2021 JC2 Prelims exams. My approach to teaching is to help students develop a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts so that they can apply them to different types of questions rather than simply memorising formulas.

Hi, I excel in English at all levels, and majored in English Literature and English language in NUS (offered honors). I used to be a HR professional for > years where I teach training classes to 40 persons. I am taking a break from work as I am recently retrenched, and I am interested to teach English or GP (General Paper) to Secondary 3-4 and above students. I am ok to accept a lower rate but I would like the students to come to my place (small group of 3-4).

I have experience in teaching my cousin when he was in Primary School. He was unable to understand basic math concepts like fractions and algebra but I managed to slowly help him visualise and get familiar with it so that he can handle his school work. I taught when I was in my secondary school days. One was to a bunch of students in my old primary school (Da Qiao Primary School) but I did not really get to follow up on their improvements and final results. I also taught my cousin who did not pass his primary maths but if I remember correctly, he manage to pass with around 60 + to 70+ in the end
