I am a passionate, energetic teacher from the United Kingdom with a wide knowledge base who has worked in Hong Kong, Vietnam and, for the past 6 years, in Singapore. I taught English tuition for 4 years enjoying a great deal of success with a 100% pass rate in my PSLE students. I then transitioned to teaching at an international school in Dempsey where I've been since 2022. For subjects such as O Level Geography/Social Studies, I am confident in my abilities but have no prior teaching experience. Teaching methods: Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Math): I will primarily focus on understanding theory, as well as understanding the requirements of exam questions. I am good at making content digestible for students. Teaching will involve a mixture of brief theory revision as well as practicing questions from examination papers. English and A-Level General Paper: I am particularly good at providing new angles of thinking and argument in essays. i also encourage students to understand questions better and to answer concisely and cohesively. Teaching for essays will involve a mix of topic exposure, slight debate, writing practice and correction. For short question-answer papers, teaching will involve paper practice -- question analysis and answering techniques, as well as practice and correction. For students not fluent in English, I am also able to teach them the fundamentals of language. I am currently also a student learning German; Employing my fluency in the English language alongside my tried-and-true learning methods for German (a similar language), I can make learning English easier for the student.
