I have more than 20 years experience of tutoring my own 3 children from k1 through primary school years. Throughout their primary years, I taught them personally for all subjects and they had no tuitions. They did well for psle and entered IP programs. I just completed tutoring a P6 boy in his mathematics and science. He managed to improve from 30% to 70% in his examinations. Currently (2025), I am tutoring a p3 boy in maths and another two p6 girls In mathematics and science. They managed to pass their end of year exams for both Science and Maths last year in P5. For one of them, she has never passed her examinations before. I felt heartened to be able to use my tutoring experience with my own children and other children to be able to be a blessing to more children as well. During my University years, I worked part time as a tutor in a group tuition centre and also provided one to one tuitions to 5 students ( primary to secondary). I love teaching and imparting knowledge to the young ones. I have served as a Sunday School teacher in my church for the last 30 years. Teaching has brought me great satisfaction and joy as I was given an opportunity to witness the progress of their learning, especially when I saw their improved efforts and attitudes towards learning.

I have 2 years of teaching experience I was an assistant teacher at CHIJ primary school and Christ church secondary school. 6 months each My secondary school students are from St’Magaret secondary school : initially scoring around C6 range and received a final score of A2 for Math in olevels Northland secondary school : initially scoring around C6 range and recently scored B3 for her WA2 physics&chem (recently just started lessons) I am often described as patient and understanding, yet strict and meticulous. Hi, I'm Nasya! I am an IB graduate from St. Joseph’s Institution International and am currently pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Biology at NUS. I have taught over 15 students and a variety of subjects: IB Math HL, IB Biology HL, IB Chemistry HL, IB Psychology SL, O Level Biology & Chemistry, IGCSE Biology & Chemistry etc. I also have experience working with 3 IB specialized tuition centres I hope to spread the passion for STEM that my teachers gave me. In my lessons, I put an emphasis on helping students understand the key points and foundations of topics. I keep students engaged by guiding them to connect the dots independently with critical thinking. Though I go through targeted practice questions with students to ensure they are able to apply their knowledge effectively, I encourage students to do more practice at home and provide them with the resources to do so. I welcome students to approach me with questions they are struggling with at any time. My goal is to build students’ confidence in all areas of the subject and also help them learn how to learn independently outside of school and tuition. I have one year of tutoring experience. I teach in Quintessential Education and IB Lounge, I've been with them for about 7 months. I have taught more than 20 students, mostly from international schools (ACSI, Singapore Sports School, UWC, Dover Court, SJII, SJI). A few notable improvements from my students. My ACS International student improved from a failing grade to an A for her IGCSE mock exams. My Singapore Sports school student improved from a 3 to a 7 for her IB exams (max grade is 7). My SJI student recently told me she did really well for her test in a topic she recently struggled with.

Taught both lower and upper secondary Biology in a tuition centre from 2014 to 2017. Past students whom I taught usually see an improvement by 2 grades. I observe that students seeking Bio tuition typically struggle in open ended questions. While they may understand the concept, they find it challenging to phrase their answers with the required terminologies. My role is to allow them to understand the answering techniques so that they can be focused when attempting the open ended questions. I also see my role as a Bio Tutor to allow and engage students in understanding and appreciating Biology, rather than memorising the facts. This could be done through visualisation tools such as videos which would form a deeper impression among the students.
